If you struggled on how to get the old head off when there is no hole to insert the locking pin. I used a 5/8 open ended wrench. It fit right into the space. Used a socket wrench on the bolt and twisted until it let lose.. your all welcome since I also was frustrated as hell since not one video showed that..
How did you remove the head. I see the notch but there's no way to insert a tool to prevent the head from spinning and the space is too narrow to grab the head. What was your fix. Thank you
Removing the head is really eazy. Once you remove the spring, get a hammer and knock the head downward and it should come off pretty simple. The notch on the side must be for aesthetics. I hope this helps
How did you get the head off? You didn’t show that in the video. I have the same exact Ryobi Head that I’m trying to get rid of and I can’t figure out how to get it off as well. I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to find a video like this, my head does not have a hole for a pin to hold it in place just as you described. I would greatly appreciate if you could enlighten me on how you removed the head. Thanks in advance.
you the MAN! Thanks! You helped me figure out what has been wrong with mine for a LONG time!
