I believe this is the best track on the album! and that's a bold statement because the rest of the songs are all terrific, not one weak track on "Absolutely", I bought the record really late on, then realized it's definitely their masterpiece!
Madness got me into music love the early albums always have always will but i think personally that although any of the singles are fantastic many of the album tracks from the early albums out shine them.
It seems a shame that this great group fell historical victim to its own lyrics here, in regard of one single issue - the amassment of royalties. Putting things in the vernacular, it seems Madness became a bunch of ERNIEs in their own right, with any amount of social issues in NW1 (and beyond) going unaddressed over the last forty years, that should have been. Looking back on things, the same could be said of all royalties-ridden rock 'n roll gods from the 1960s onwards - did they really all join the masonic order in the end?
The 1st 3 albums from these guys were ABSOLUTE GOLD!!
