I'm sure you don't care by now, but I'm writing this for myself lol The pumping station is very confusing, especially because there's barely instructions on how the station really works. Understanding how it works and how to fix it all only matters if you're going for the achievement(s). The Red and Blue lines are water that comes into the pumping station. You found the blue valve outside. On the other side was the red valve, you never found. The computer and screens show when the red and blue lines are closed or open. The notes are helpful clues, but are also not very helpful. The key was actually dropped in pool 4, not 1! The worker is very incompetent (stupid). Turning off the pumps is how to drain and fill the pools, in order to get that key. It is possible to fix the whole station by turning on all lines, refilling all pools and turning on the chlorinators (they clean the water). But yes, very confusing!
