You are absolutely CORRECT!! these kids growing up today have zero respect for anyone because they have not seen any consequences. I'm Generation X. if someone ran their mouth , they got punched in the face. That's how you learn to respect another person. Amen. I know it sounds macho, but I completely agree that experiencing physical violence at some level, within limits, is a great lesson for every kid. The concept of personal space is a social contract, not an actual force field around your body. Some people don't seem to know that, and they talk like they have a deployable brick wall everywhere they go.
Stupid kid failed to consider that despite Jason trading his jersey for a suit, he's still a dawg. Jason's agent and lawyer were no doubt unhappy, but when you insult a dude's family, be prepared for worse.
Chris Long might agree with this quote. "Social media made y'all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it." -Mike Tyson
People glorify Mike Tyson for standing up to reporters, people glorify Nate Diaz for fighting back, but Jason Kelce stands up for himself and didn't hurt anyone..... Come on. That's weak!

I know some people will disagree about being punched in the face, but it does show you that that kind of behavior is not acceptable. If anyone deserves to be punched in the face it was that guy screaming at Kelse.
Right, it takes a certain kind of person to go out of their way to invite that kind of situation into their life. Good for Kelce, we need a little more consequnences around these parts. That guy was lucky it was just his phone and not his face. Kelce should not apologize for anything and all the pearl clutching over using a "homophobic slur" needs to stop. We are not in middle school.

What I don’t like about strictly blaming the new generation is 2 fold. 1. It releases parents of the new generation of responsibility for not teaching their children to not do this stuff. 2. It releases older generations from the heinous things they have said over centuries. Older generations called people slurs and different insults way more often. They may not have gone up to athletes faces and said it but those tendencies get passed down over generations. Older generations also said it more often because we had taught those athletes to “be the bigger man”. Dehumanizing athletes to not fight back and to think those generations could get away with it. Now, you can’t get away with that stuff cause everything is being recorded. Everyone is complaining about the newer generations like it wasn’t millennials and gen x calling us slurs in cod lobbies while we were growing up, letting us think it’s just what people do
I love Jason, but two wrongs don't make a right. He quickly apologized and appeared extremely sincere. The other message is that the public needs to behave responsibly.
