That classic Fedora hat is what I would want as I grew up as Gen X in the eighties and a lot of girls fashion incorporated Fedora inspired hats with a feminine twist.
I saw this for the first time at the drive in. Born in ‘75. So 6. There was a first movie for kids. Second for adults. So we were supposed to sleep in the folded down back of the car. Don’t remember what the first movie was. I watched. This was pretty scary for a 6 y/o. One of my favorites since. Made myself a whip out of some scrap leather. This was pre-VCR (for me) so this stuck with me, for years I pretend to be Indy. Never picked apart the beginning scene. It’s a movie it’s doesn’t matter. I was always incredibly annoyed that my whip wouldn’t catch so I could swing on it. That, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out. I will say that temple of doom was definitely my favorite. Realistically raiders is the best. But temple of doom is the campy-est. Bringing Marion back/ no. Indy is a ladies man. I could have done without her ever coming back. I find her more dislikable than what’s her name from temple of doom. Everything after last crusade I could live without.
I love those drive in days, a cartoon followed by a more mature movie, those are the best! Go get some food, hang out on the tailgate, you're bringing up the old feels! Indy is a ladies man, maybe that's why it took him 60+ years to settle down with her 😀
@@ThisPodcastTakesTokens Weren’t they separated at the beginning of Destiny? I’ve only seen it once. Then maybe they made up at the end? I liked the trope that there was a new lady every movie. It made it kinda mythical. Like the old serials that Lucas loved. I used to watch those too on a show called “Sunday at the Bijou” I think that was the name. It was on Sundays on PBS (maybe it was Saturday). It wasn’t always that, movies too I believe. But when it was the old Flash Gordon like serials I was happy. With the awful(y great) giant trash can like robot bad guys on the hidden island where the bad guy kidnapped the girl. Do you know why arcades used tokens instead of just straight quarters. I’ll find out the old fashioned way. By asking someone.
@@sethfg 😀I do believe they not together in the beginning of Dial' but did end up together. I like the constant that is Marion, even if it is rocky at best. I feel like the over all arc needs something like that to keep it anchored to its core. As far as arcades using tokens, it depends; some places had a token system, but most used coins. However, most of the things we loved growing up(arcades, theatres, jukeboxes, ect) relied on some kind of payment registration system, be it quarters, tickets, cards or, yes, tokens.

Oh yeah! Molly Ringwald rocked that look all through the 80s. The fedora is a timeless and classic look
Oh yeah, last crusade has some of the best music! Is paced really well and the story is really interesting.
Last Crusade is a firm 2nd for sure!
The hat of course. 👍
