    Thank you for showing
I hope you will feel better soon!
As for plants that aren’t doing well… think about if they still make you happy.. if not.. either try a new spot, chop and prop, get a new one or get rid of it all together. It is the little things that can make us happy, but also the little things that can bring us back down 😉
Once you get those pests under control, or get used to the routine of dealing with them, Im sure you will feel better again 🌸
A couple of years ago my whole plant room had thrips, it took like half a year to get through that, it was tough at the time, but I am happy that I hung in there, very few plants actually died (there were a bunch of ugly leaves though).
Im not “scared” of winter. Most of my plants have already survived at least one winter in the spots that they are at. The few Anthuriums that I have always look ugly in winter, but that no longer concerns me.
Keeping an extra eye on the Hoya that are in the windowsill for their first winter, but so far so good.
I use winter to assess my plants, what they will need in spring, wiping leaves, thinking about if they still bring me joy and how to rearrange things.
In spring I am uppotting and changing soil on larger plants, in summer I have to run around with watering cans, and in autumn I am catching up on chores from summer 😅 (of course repots for the smaller plants happen year round when needed).
But yes… winter is for assessing and planning and I do enjoy that.

Aww Joy!! I felt so sad to see your Mamey, I know how much you love it 😢 I really hope you are able to start from the other cutting or a chunk and return it to its former glory 🩷 sending you the best wishes and vibes ✨
And your kitty asking you for cuddles was the cutest thing ever 🥰

Take good care of yourself Joy 😊 plants were too overwhelming for me... dealing with thrips and all drove me up the wall. I gave up and got all fake plants. I have one real plant 🌵 a Thanksgiving Cactus, but it doesn't even grow. I'm sure it's got some kind of pest.
I don't have real plants, but I still watch a few of my favorite planty channels to show love and support 🎉❤😊

I understand about the Ohio winter! I'm a teacher and was hoping for a snow day last week so I could get caught up. You sound overwhelmed in this video... make sure to take care of yourself.

I am glad your thrip situation is better!
Your brandtianum looks funny, I am also struggling with mine, but I've put in on a pole and in a higher humidity and it got waayy bigger and fuller and is actually starting to look like a nice plant 😀 if you want to "get rid of" the bold spot on your raphidophora, try to wrap it around in the pot, it worked great for my adansonii and it even activated some growth points down there, so it's even fuller!
This is the first winter I really invested in grow lights and it's the first time my plants are just growing slower and not going downhill, even though my flat is quite cold and dark :) yaaayy

You are so so pretty along with your plants ❤❤. I got thrips back, I guess one or two eggs hatched in my leaves when I thought I was done treating it

I know a lot of your plants took a hit with the thrips, but many of them are looking really good and strong. If it helps, I always expect a few casualties over the winter. The plants that you may lose can leave space for new life in the spring. The ones that don't succumb to pests/drops in temperature are the backbone of your collection. It's okay to let things go and start over at a later time.

Hey friend! I think your Cuprea is getting too much top down light and that's why the leaves are curling under. Man your fern leaf is HAPPY! My compacta is also giving a bunch of new growth! And yep. The occasional mealie is what I'm battling.

On your M. Siltepcana, wrap those bare vines around the top of the pot. It would be interesting to see if they root. Maybe bury them a bit? I've had mixed luck and it took quite a while. ✔️🪴
