Funny enough I just got my Slimes in the mail. I am curious, if Mocopi is connected to the Slime app on PC, then I assume the tracking quality will greatly improve. If that was you falling on the floor with Mocopi trackers, it looks really good in tracking quality, it doesn't seem to drift as much like before. Thanks for the update!

Many thanks for this, I was scrambling for IMU solution after accepting the more limited value of other options with price creeping up to offset what they lack in base comprehensive value. TS's video was useful though dated, so news of these updates made all the difference, especially for the independent mocap feature, which I plan on using for other projects when touching grass :>

Does using the SlimeVR software mean you also need to Calibrate the same way SlimeVR trackers need to be calibrated? I've heard that's a massive pain in the ass and makes SlimeVR super inconvenient.
It's gotten better. Just got slimeVR yesterday and had it set up and working in half an hour including install. Just a couple poses to calibrate and measure body size automatically now. Should only take 5 minutes next time I set up.
Yes it does but like others have said, the calibration process is improving. Mocopi still fully supports all other integrations with VRChat so if OSC integration is your preferred method you can use Mocopi without Slime software if you choose to. Slime integration just adds more choices for consumers to use which is great.

Mocopi need a SPECIFIC phone models to work (bluetooth 5 or smth). So if your phone dont have new bluetooth or used for other stuff, you need to pay even more than for HaritoraX and SlimeVR 🤔
As long as your phone is newer than about 8 years it’s fine most devices should have it, it is also required for the haritorax if you plan on using it standalone,

Do you need to stand in front of the phone for it to work or can you move away from it and it will track still? I’m just making sure before my mom buys me these for Christmas lol

Since u don't need base stations makes this a bit more worth the price considering they r selling for like $100-$200 each give or take

Unrelated but- ive never seen such great mouth tracking till now. Yours closes instead of hanging open slightly 😮
You can fix this by adjusting the blend shape around the mouth. I also notice if you use hybrid (lip sync + Facial tracking) you want to lower the weight of lypsync.
While Mocopi might have some ups in certain areas the absolutely horrid tracking it has compared to Haritora or Slime trackers makes it absolutely not worth the price.
if use this for vtuber stuff, what can i use for face tracking if im not gonna use a vr headset, and can this work for a round ball shape character?

So question, were you using it on Pc Vr? or was that all with a stand alone quest without PC VR
It can be used completely standalone. You'd just want a phone present to connect.
2:09 or you buy two slimevr 5 ( non +1 ) kits for like 390 and have no wires and even better tracking because slime works even better the more trackers you have.
is this true? im looking into getting an affordable fbt, im not for sure how to specifically set all of this up and if i only had one set of trackers to mess with this would be really awesome
Hell fucking no I've seen the dumbass process of setting up slime vr trackers. You need yet again a whole nother fucking app? Seriously? What the fuck? Plus you gotta fiddle,jump through hoops and all that stupid shit. Mocopi is the simplest solution and people need to take notes om.the setup process.
Mocopis a half easy update the trackers and turn on a few settings in vrchat then done, done! That fast and easy. Of course tsking into account the errors and Fucking "Vibrations" interrupting the updating process.
Slime needs two whole fucked up videos to explain how to set them up. This is 2025 leav that stupid shit in the past. Learn from mocopis setup method.

got mocopi for christmas and am now finally getting around to trying to implement it for streaming. Question though. does using an iphone not listed in their specifications reduce quality in tracking? for instance i'm using an iphone X.

Their update didnt do a god damn thing. Do you not see how many errors and stupid bullshit that goes on before it successfully updates the trackers? vibration? Error? What the damn fuck? If these trackers were good my legs wouldnt be fucking aiming in the wrong direction even after calibrating several times over the span of 2 FUCKING HOURS! You tubers are lying through your teeth i connected these things and you cant even get the vrchat calibration orbs to line up with the limbs properly let alone do anything else.
On top of all this stupid shit you have to update/connect trackers every single god damn time you open the app and if your phone times out too much you gotta do it again. What the fuck? Self calibrate, auto updating inplement the fuck out of it immediately.
