Jean and I do appreciate the new set and the stress you had to/have to be in! Take your time and get settled in! We do enjoy the Heaven Hill line. Thanks for reminding us this bourbon exists. We've not gone back to it in some time. Cheers.
I enjoyed the sample of this I had, but not enough to buy the bottle when it showed up here. It was $65 and knowning all about the 6 year, it just made it too hard for me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Good to see you again, but certainly take your time getting settled!
Nice digs, congrats! I got this HH for $45 (from the one place in NY where it's not $50 : ) and while you're spot on that it's nothing to get crazy about it's got some nice complexity and really well balanced. These days, for a 7yr product I think $40-50 is fare. Cool ice cream shop btw (I ggld your hoodie) I wish it was closer, I'd swing by w my girls. One day, maybe. Cheers!
It’s about damn time, stop making excuses 🤣. Hope everything went as smooth as it can. Funny, I didn’t like Elijah Craiglast year when I started getting into whiskey, but man, do I like it now and I really like the barrel proofs. I have yet to try this, unsure. Cheers pal!
Welcome back. Honestly, skip it and go with EW BiB. Price score should have been much lower. I did this one in a blind and it smelled like water compared to the others….similar proof.
I guess what impresses me is people are willing to pay 50 plus dollars for EH Taylor small batch but this sucks. This is 7 years old. They are catching up to the bourbon boom. Just like Buffalo trace. Regular Buffalo trace is 30-35 dollars and eagle rare is 50 bucks. Think about it.
Don't understand how you can like Heaven Hill and not like Elijah Craig. I love the EC stuff except for the 18 year, but the rest are fantastic.
Ive grown up and ECBP has grown on me. We all have one though!
nice!
Thanks!

Good to have you back. Great point calling Heaven Hill out.

This is about $40-$45 here in TX. I'm curious to try one of the old 6Yr BiB's after hearing your comparison.
