just to put the whole just move it by truck, each rail car moves about 3 truck loads of product (roughly depends on product some more some less) and most trains are run 100-200 cars long, where i work in sask theres 3 loaded potash trains a day headed to the coat and usally a grain train or 2 as well. as for the strikes both the union and companies are to blame neither seem to understand what negotiating means
