  • When it comes to micro-brands and tool specific watches, I think Draken seem to consistently make some very decent watches.
This Draken Peregrine seem to be no different...I share my thoughts on this watch throughout the week..

Watch shown is the Draken Peregrine Version B Black
    Thanks for watching..

Mine arrived today -- hefty beast! A lot heavier than I'd expected. But gee, that power indicator is a touch of genius.

I’ve been on a bit of a downer as I haven’t found any cool or interesting watches lately, but I think this might have reignited my spark for watch collecting! Thanks Peter! Cheers 🥂

If this lefty would have been introduced in a GMT variant I would have pulled the trigger immediately so I'll be standing by hoping that they offer one in the future Great professional review as always my friend Be well and God Bless you and Yours 👍

Because of your user centred reviews I’ve bought two Draken - Kruger and Aoraki, and I am always happy wearing them.
To be selected from the watch box above others the watch has to appeal visually, stir emotion, and feel comfortable all day for its purpose.
As attractive as the Peregrine is, factors highlighted like weight on wrist, how the strap / clasp works in my tropical heat vs the aircon, and setting the time once a week at 5am, are important factors for me when buying, using, and keeping watches.
I love Drakens’ work, and the molle pouch full solution Mike delivers with each watch is a standout.
Great work Draken, looking forward to the next watch!

I bought the Milspec version Peter & it’s a terrific watch! LH crown doesn’t phase me. Another nice product from Draken.👍🏼

Oh man I was just looking at this watch a few days ago I was hoping to see your thoughts on it, and here we are. 😂 Great video!! I just hope it's a bit more wearable.

Really like the clean design 😍 of this and I love a LH crown, price is very reasonable too....if they ever do a smaller versions ( I am quite puny 😢..😊)...I’d be very tempted...

Anti-reflective coating on the top of the crystal for a tool watch is a deal breaker for me. I just know my eyes will be drawn to any scratches that I invariably will put on the glass.

Bro, you're getting older..pretty soon you wont be able to see the handset let alone any fine scratches on an antireflective coating 😂😂
Love ya Leon...pop in when you're in the area and we can have a coffee 👍

What's with you folks South of the Equator? Your Seasons are backwards, you drive on the wrong side of the road, and now you put the crown on the wrong side of the watch! 😬😵‍💫😋😂 Haha!
    Peace from USA🇺🇲👍

Solid Case-back would be my choice .
Knock off some excess real estate in the rear 🙃
    ❤ the LHD ….. 👍

Love Draken, would love to have one some day! Just wish the pricing was NZD (that's where Mike is, right?) rather than USD... little outta my price range unfortunately

Overall, it's pretty good. My 2 complaints would be: Why have an exhibition caseback if you don't have a decorated rotor/movement? And the crown on the left side of the case. I do like the power reserve meter and the watch itself appears to be very legible. Nicely done, Draken.

I've got to admit that this doesn't really do much for me. I think you have to really be into heavy utilitarian looking tool watches for this to work. For me that genre works best when it is super cheap and overtly tough and practical, and probably solar, and this can't quite tick those boxes, and especially its size stands in the way. Now, did I spot the Jack Mason Ellum in gold in your intro? That shot looks sharp!

Really like this watch - and with this particular dial... like the very discreet power reserve indicator. My only gripe is the blue second hand and Peregrine text. Personally not a fan - I would have far preferred a red second hand and maybe red text that would have paired better with the little pop of red on the power reserve.

      @PeterKotsa  5 месяцев назад +1

Yeah that could have worked as well..
I think the blue is very subtle compared to the red on this dial...maybe it would have been too much red here..nonetheless would have been interesting to see that combo 👍

Legibility and dial look amazing but yeah not sure l about the weight and it being a lefty.

Looks like a well built quality watch. Don't see the advantage of a left sided crown? I suppose if you wear your watch on your right hand, but I don't. I don't mind the weight, it just makes it feel like a sturdy well built watch! Thanks again Pete!

A little too tall, and a little too heavy for me. But I love the style and even the LH crown.

  • @AlexanderB.

The watch features toolish yet appealing aesthetics. But as always, the left hand crowns is a deal breaker for me. Crucially I don't want to turn the watch upside down when I use the crown and unlike you, I don't love the look of them...

I really like the styling, though that case hight and 22 mm bracelet width are kind of keeping me away from it..

How very much I like a watch, certain brand names, many actually, always turns me off. The names they come up with 🤢

Not special. Right handed watches can be made into left handed watches in 30 minutes.

Love the look-n-feel of this Draken and absolutely LOVE that logo and the fact that they added lume on the crown on top of it.
It looks rock solid and I was expecting it to « overpower » your wrist but, no, nothing, it looks great.
    Thanks for sharing.
