- Опубликовано: 16 июн 2014
- Muscles are clearly used in all types of sport and exercise. But how is muscle activity measured? Here, Dr Callum Osler from the University of Derby gives an introduction to surface electromyography (EMG). This technique is used to record the electrical activity that brings about muscle contraction. Callum introduces the technique before briefly describing a number of potential uses within the field of sport and exercise science
Paul's stare is scaring me
This helped me enormously! I have to do a presentation on EMG and our prof wanted something to show in front of the class, so I'll be able to show them the most thematical parts of this video ^^ Cheers
Really great video! thank you
Very well presented, thank you.
Thanks, that was helpful.
Thank you!
Thank you. Great a fitness student like me.
excellent video ; cheers
awesome vid!
well done great explanation.
Good exercise to keep away stress
Nice bicep, Paul.
ok eye contact
is there a portable small cheap emg machine i could order for home use? or does this have to be a big setup like in the video
good stuff..right there
Hoo
can I know which EMG device brand you used ??
Isn't the inscrease of EMG signal when muscle fatigues related to the fact that fast twitch fibers fatigue and slow twitch fibers (higher EMG signal) have to inscrease their activity wich causes it to raise ?
its the inverse
Dr. Callum looks quite young - and cute!
Good afternoon, my name is Oleksandr, I am a pediatrician from Ukraine, studying electromyography.
Please tell me whether you use electromyography in your practice for the rehabilitation of aba in sports.
Thank you and have a nice day
Can you send EMG signals wirelessly ?
Same question
Should be able too. You could use a Myoware muscle sensor attached to a Bluetooth or WiFi module and transmit that data wireless to somewhere else. Requires some electrical and software engineering though.
Might be able to buy a prebuilt equivalent device.
Why do you need three electrodes? Why not two ? one for reference and one for the muscle!
this is explained between 2 and 2:30 mins in the video
Goated
Paul did not have a good day it seems.
Is Paul okay?
😂
