Saw them in Saskatoon May 11. Absolutely FANTASTIC. Rosa’s vocals and chemistry with the band are second to none. This band rocks better now than they did 40 years ago.
The harmonies seem like samples of background vocals triggered by guy playing keyboard. The guys might be singing but definitely along the sampled vocals triggered from keyboard
As someone who grew up with the pins since they were playing in bars, this is so sad to see. While they are keeping the music alive, the new singer has officially transformed them into a parody of themselves. Seeing them in winnipeg, she was scratching in the air like a cat, absolutely hilarious. It's like she's singing the words, but doesn't know why or what they're about. No soul. It's hard to hear the band without Brian, but without Darby, they're no longer the pins.
Rosa is a great singer, no doubt, but Darby was/is irreplaceable and that doesn't sound really convincing to me.... the other guys do an honest job but that's not the band I used to worship in the 1980's.
@@guitarman3968 she wasn't fired, she quit! but yes she was fired from the band not once but twice by Too Loud Macleod! snd Chrissy Steele replaced her then! But after Brian died they (The HEADPINS) Reunited with Darbage But then she walked away leaving the Band to Continue without her!!....

The Headpins were an absolute fantastic band as far as I'am concered.
I saw this concert and I loved it. No Darby wasnt there but it was still a great show. Keep rocking, I had a very good time
