they talked about getting rid of resilience too so that means 1 set of gear both pve and pvp. Although youll probably still want different perks for different weapon layouts. So we will still have a trunk full of gear sets. However, good step in the right direction. Now if they can just fix the gear set system so we can actually use it for all 15+ sets@@zenberg3
Hope they split scaling in equal portions also. Not just the split on gear like a hatchet scales 50-50 om str and dex. and rapier 50-50 dex and int. like the greatsword does.

Thats good to hear there is no gear reset and only a gear score cap increase. That is good for the player base from the very beginning and keeps the game fresh. Hope there is no gear reset as the game was fairly balanced at launch. Will be returning to the game for this expansion. All the best 🙏🏽

Been waiting for this for a lonrg time. It makes no sense to hoard all that ward gear just to survive a specific mutator, its not even fun. This alone will make me want to play New World pve again.
Well honestly the expansion is gonna have to be super exciting and full of content otherwise a lot of people including myself will just not bother after having millions of coin worth of gear completely invalidated.
I would've rather had 50 gear sets than getting rid of ward and bane. If it had been easy to organize, then building and using those sets could've been fun. I actually have a full ward and bane set for each, but I don't know where they are now, so I don't use them. I did all the work to make them, but the hassle to find them makes them not worth it, even with all 9 gear sets available.

Ward has always been bullshit since mutations came out. If you don't have it for whatever the mutation dungeon is then I guess your not playing that week. And don't even get me started on not being able to find players to run with because of everyone scamming others for ward gear. So you either get pvp geared players or none at all.

It`s good they whant to get lost with items because it´s to many of them forcing us close to the 500 cap but for ward/resiilint they should keep ore remove it nothign in the middle because it makes no sense and gw2 is proof of this messing around with powers for builds to much just make people quit ore drive them away. With ore with out ward i haven been able to solo every thing in nw from day one that is posible it´s just time factor involved now atm i solo the human shard with out ward jsut alot of trust and fire rez np.

At least the majority will be able to run mutation dungeons finally. Takes me like 4 hours to make a full m10 group of randoms and I even play tank, practically no one has 625 ward gear for every single enemy type so most people just only run one dungeon whenever it comes out.
Removing Ward and Bain gear not only helps the player base, but also frees up the Devs to mix in multiple enemy types in future expeditions.

Im worried were going a bit too casual with this... Optimizing your gear with the perfect perks is what gives you long term goals.

They are moving crit reduction to load out load. Light , medium and heavy. The heavier your load the more crit reduction you get
