Glad I found your channel. I always take the back road from Cloudcroft to Guadalupe Mountains NP and pass through Dell City. I am amazed at the diversity of the agriculture there. How is the aquafer holding up? Thank heavens for the Cornudas and that wildcatter who found water instead of oil!
If you finish your last field and have substantially less than a full bale in the machine, can that be ejected and wrapped or does it just sit in the machine until the next cotton harvest? I play Farming Simulator 22 a lot and tried a mission on cotton, couldn't get the last bale because I was out of field to harvest. I'm guessing it's not quite that complicated with real life cotton harvesters. But then, I think to myself, what do I know? Great video! 😁👍👍
Yup you can manually wrap any size bale you want. We especially use that feature if we want to keep the cotton separate from field to field. If only fs22 would come to me I could give them a lot of pointers on cotton equipment lol
Great video I know a bit about corn and soybeans how is cotton compared as in spray and disease control do you have to do as well do you have insect problems with cotton? Thanks again for the ride around your fields and great scenery! Jeff
We run both some fields need a stripper some need a picker. High yielding cotton a picker will be more efficient but if you have a lot of cotton close to the bottom of the plant and short cotton than stripper works better
Awesome looking cotton, plants are loaded ! Congratulations ! 👍
The more you bale the more you have to pick up hahaha
Great to see that you’re having a great season
Love your videos keep them coming
I love how dedicated you are to your farm and garden
Beautiful country!
Very interesting. Live and learn for me. Good video. Pax.
Great video Conley and thank you for it.

Yea no kidding and as of right now the aquifer doesn’t seem to be dropping at all and I hope it stays like that

@@conleybanmanyou’ll have to talk with giants software about that, they are the ones who make farming simulator
Exactly the designers should go to farmers for tips
The blue wrap looks cool but is there any science behind the wrap color? Usually you all have yellow from what I recall.
Yup we’ve usually had yellow but the color just varies on brand and this brand was cheaper and worked better than the yellow

Weed control is just about as easy as in corn. And they’re are a few insect problems but it has been manageable so far
@@conleybanman Buying $600 per bag seeds helps with weed and insect control!
Looks great! How many bales can you make in one day?🤔
Bout 80-100 given the situations
You start with business Indian farmers?
Hello, good time. How many tons of cotton do you harvest per hectare?
Who’s growing cotton in Dell City?
This is alfalfa country ol son

Why the stripper over a picker? Pros n cons?

The picker has a hard time grabbing cotton off the bottom of the plant
Where are you stripping cotton?
Dell city
@@conleybanman where is the cotton ginned?
Oasis gin
does anyone make american flag wrap for them cotton modules
Hello
Goodjob for cotton harvests! Does that blue cotton wrap film work well?
For us it works better than the yellow and it’s a bit cheaper
