- Another attempt to crack the top 10, this time at the Beamsley Beacon Fell Race hosted by Wharfdale Harriers, setting off from Addingham on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The heat made for hard running, but the views from the summit were sublime and made for a glorious summer evening fell race.

Excellent, well done on the run and the filming. Brings back memories of when I won the race back in the day! being first up that overgrown path my face was scarred by the brambles. I finished the race (from the Crown in the vilage if I recall) with blood down forehead and cheeks. They gave me a trophy but when I tried to leave the pub it was taken back off me and I was told it had to stay in the pub on their shelf. Terry Lonergan

Had given up catching you, then thought just maybe but you were too strong. Really was a great race, wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did
