Unless I'm wrong, this is the first agent that has an ability that interacts directly with the spike, this is definitely gonna make some games interesting
I don't think I would see him getting nerfed since I find one of his abilities feel underpowered. The molly is fine, his ult is useful and can give some value. But what I find underwhelming is his E and Q. His Q is really useful but I think they should've made his ability where he summons his pet (Q) as his signature since it gives info where enemies located and can plant bomb and made his "flash" as his Q ability. And his abilities are one charge (which I understand he can pick them up after deploying it) but I imagine where if he tries to pick his abilities up, enemies can try to swing and kill him while he's grabbing it. I feel like he will get the harbor treatment where I think he will get some buffs to make him easier to play. I'm not saying he will be awful. I find Gekko as a good agent since I find his abilities give value to the team but I feel like he has more potential to be better if they can make some changes
Conceptually, I really enjoy that he has a unique mechanic of being able to pick up his abilities, as opposed to simply recharging them on a cooldown. I might actually pick this guy up as an alternative to skye, even though I still like skye better
Seems that best part of the flash is that you don't flash yourself so you can use it carelessly and the wing man is a curious thing cuz we don't know if he would like disappear half planting or half dissarming. The ult is ok I guess, not overpowered (the rest of abilities seem to be tho). Lastly, the mosh pit seem to take a second too long but that is nice, we will see if it has like glue or movement restrictions (feels like Harbors Ult, whom I really expect to have a buff sometime). Your videos are awesome, they've kept me on the loop and are so right on time.
The ult more like phx ult i think, it can reveal where the enemy is without revealing your position, also if u found it, it would be huge advantage since enemy get detain. and the crazy part is u can use it twice. so i guess its pretty OP
He's got powerful abilities, but they are balanced out by the fact that they are only 1 charge with the pickup mechanic. This means that if his play doesn't work and he fails to take space, that ability is gone.

If you get stunned by his ult you could get help from teammates or go to a safe spot to wait the stun out and the new agent would get overconfident and walk into your teammates. @@meestersecure9060 100% on the weaker side compared to other agent ults and could be one of the weakest ults. His other abilities are much more balanced and might even make up for the weak ult though.

The fact you can reuse it too means it's not gonna be wasted if the util goes into only one person. Even if it sees no one thats still nfo you can use and you still have one more charge.
My first impressions: Dizzy(E) - Seems a bit underpowered in its duration, looking like it only last about 1-1.5 secs. Most flashes last at least 2 secs but this might be a caveat to it because unlike the other flashes this one doesn't flash your teammates and can be picked up. Mosh Pit(C) - According to the devs the center deals 150 damage so it's an instakill at the center but its apparently survivable in the sides. It's kinda like a Kayo molly really, though you should be one shot after taking that damage. Also this ability really needs coordination from other utilities to get a kill because of the windup time. Potential combos to this would be the obvious; fade seize or astra pull. Other candidates could be a sage slow, breach stun, or neon stun. Wingman(Q) - I honestly think this ability would be quite useful. Planting the spike in a NvN means the attacker will be 1 man down for a few secs but with this, you can just let it plant while you guard it. The exhibition match didn't show much of this thing planting, but that's because they treated it as a solo util and didn't even properly cover it as it plant like you would if any player is planting. There's also the fact that in defusing, with a smoke, this thing is actually hard to spam because it's quite small. Not only does the smoke doesn't tell you if the one defusing is Wingman or another player, it also allows the defender to not temporarily be 1 man down to defuse in a retake. I'm not even mentioning its other use as a raze boombot. Thrasher (X) - The stunlock seems like it has a good duration also seems aoe so if they are rushing, you can actually completely halt their push. And depending on where you do that it might become a shooting gallery. Like say, they're rushing a main in ascent, if you stun them at the choke, they're visible to so many angles and are essentially dead without them being able to even run or shoot. Though the 1 more time reuse of this ult is a nice addon, it's not really plausible to get it back in most cases.
No matter the power he seems fun as hell, which alone may make influence his pick rate in all levels, I mean who doesn't love the little guy with a spike, running like a headless chicken
His C & Q are absolutely insane Mosh Pit is like they took Viper's molly and Brim's molly and made it better. How much are you willing to bet it leaves allies undamaged? Remote def/plant seems designed to indirectly buff smokers (especially Omen and Harbor) but it's gonna get silly with a quickness
the pet that can plant or defuse doesn't seem broken to me, it's pretty easy to destroy and after that you just lost the spike on the site seems very situational
The molly doesn't look broken to me too watching the game it seems like it doesn't do damage until it explodes at the end and it's like kayo mollie so you have time to at least take less damage even if you don't get out
He seems way better at entering sites for attack and retake than most initiators, but im worried how good he will be defensively. He can't really afford to carelessly use util on defender side because getting it back will be really difficult.

I don’t think people understand that gekko is probably going to be underwhelming. If you get “flashed” can you still hear what’s going on? like footsteps? Then it’s not a good flash the flash isn’t going to be a flash more of a tool to locate them lol and give the opponent time to try to reposition. But, The one that can plant and defuse is really overwhelming that's going to be nerfed to one charge definitely. His kit is going to be sort of if you can’t make space during the use of his ability’s. Then he offers no value cause there’s no second time. He offers tremendous value but if you can make space. The only problem I see at the moment about his kit is the flash lol. Ult is a moving kj ult with 7 points. Nice

hes definitely gonna be busted solely based off that fact thats hes an initiator. initators have always been busted in this game and ppl always find use for them. like the last two initiators were both super good; kayo and fade
Seems fairly balanced, to be honest. The most interesting ability is the wingman, completely negates the spike advantage/disadvantage. I don't mind the ult, yes it's a detain and can be reused but if it has a small enough AoE, I don't see a problem with it. You can dash out of it, destroy it, jump over it or simply hide from it. Unless you're in doodoo elo where spacing is nonexistent, I don't see his ult hitting more than 1 person in attack, and maybe 3 people at most on defense.
Same when they used the ult in the showmatch the players got very little use from it. I think the ult should also deal a small amount of damage (max 50) but not be recallable. At the moment its just a skye dog on steroids.

The clearing corner can be a skye dog, but we don't know if they bounce like a raze boombot, or just walk, and we don't know it's seeing range (120 or 180 or 360) Moshpit damage probably won't be 150, but ~70-100, it's still deadline combined with fade's seize possibly a replacement of brim's ult combo. the ult maybe insane depending on the implementation, basically it can be a visible yoru ult. That can lockdown, I can see it as a way to delay like raze's ult and repick up then use it on post-plant

Personally, this agent feels really unbalanced. First of all, the "Dizzy's" blinding animation felt a little bit too 'cartoon-ish' in some kind of way. And then the "Wingman" is looks too fast and too strong, it can stun you unexpectedly, while it being hard to destroy. And then the "Mosh", its basically a super huge and super strong KAY/O molly. Not to mention all of these abilities can be re-used makes it even more busted. The Dizzy, the Wingman, the Mosh, it all felt like it's a GUARANTEED information gatherer. What i do like tho is the "THRASH" ability, it's a simple, its a classic detaing ability, and not too overpowering. Overall, i dont really think this agent is 'fitting' for the style of the Valorant and feels really out of place with these 'cartoon-ish' styles.
Half the headshot damage, nerf all gun damage, make different character model proportions and make abilities more prevalent. And I think you could have a more hectic game.
If the Ult can also be picked up, so it has to be used fast as possible to do it twice This abilities shud also be used faster to finish rounds cuz they r like Unlimited if we pick up the abilities all the time Riot did show something unique in this Character, Literally this agent is a game changer I feel like his Ult points can be nerfed afterwards
I wonder why they went with a single powerful blast with moshpit after changing breach's aftershock. Maybe it's damage trails off the further from the center you are, but I thought that burst damage abilities like this should be avoided. It just feels to binary, either you can't get out and you tank the damage possibly dying, or you immediately run as soon as it lands under your feet.
There will be a day when people won't say OP to smith new, but I don't think I ma healthy enough to live that long. I remember how Harbour was called OP , good times
Planting with Wingman, I think wouldn't be that broken. I mean, it probably has low health and you still have to support it on site, Imagine if it just planted alone and got killed, free spike delivery to the enemy site.

It turns out the ult can stun multiple enemies but it definitely can be shoot down so you wouldn't really use it against multiple enemies since the ult will get filled with bullets. I also wrote this:
The ult can be shot down. The ult is actually probably the same or even worse than Cyphers ult in terms of value. The ult can be shot down which means it likely wouldn't be able to stun multiple enemies. Which means that the ult will only be really useful in 1v1 situations where the enemy doesn't have utilities or teammates to help them because if they do have a teammate the teammate can protect them. Because the ult can be shot down it also make it harder to get value from the ult. Also notice how you need to capture space to use abilities again? If you fail to get space you will lose your abilities so you can even lose your ult if you lose the space your ult died in. Overall the new ult seems harder to get value out of it compared to other ults, however it looks like the agent's main reason for being played is going to be for his other abilities and because of his reusability. Because his utilities can be reused he will have a better impact later into rounds than other agents. However he likely will suffer from a less impactful ult and a less impactful early round impact. He also can be heavily punished for failing to take space. Rotations on the stacker side will therefore harm him.

Personally, this agent feels really unbalanced. First of all, the "Dizzy's" blinding animation felt a little bit too 'cartoon-ish' in some kind of way. And then the "Wingman" is looks too fast and too strong, it can stun you unexpectedly, while it being hard to destroy. And then the "Mosh", its basically a super huge and super strong KAY/O molly. Not to mention all of these abilities can be re-used makes it even more busted.
The Dizzy, the Wingman, the Mosh, it all felt like it's a GUARANTEED information gatherer.
What i do like tho is the "THRASH" ability, it's a simple, its a classic detaing ability, and not too overpowering.
Overall, i dont really think this agent is 'fitting' for the style of the Valorant and feels really out of place with these 'cartoon-ish' styles.
Wingman can't reveal, it just looks like that because they use a Sova dart at the same time for the footage, that confused me at first as well.

Half the headshot damage, nerf all gun damage, make different character model proportions and make abilities more prevalent.

I wonder why they went with a single powerful blast with moshpit after changing breach's aftershock. Maybe it's damage trails off the further from the center you are, but I thought that burst damage abilities like this should be avoided. It just feels to binary, either you can't get out and you tank the damage possibly dying, or you immediately run as soon as it lands under your feet.

Planting with Wingman, I think wouldn't be that broken. I mean, it probably has low health and you still have to support it on site, Imagine if it just planted alone and got killed, free spike delivery to the enemy site.
