Just the way I want to make my M240i xdrive look like. Great review. Have my 2023 m240i xdrive mineral white on order. It's next in production to be made so I am super excited. Hopefully they will start making it by next month!
got mine few weeks ago and i can report its rapid and im coming from the new shape merc A45S amg and bmw m4 comp before that! For a light its rapido!! not much feel on steering but thats like most cars these days!
Great review from someone that knows their BMW's! Motech did an amazing job with the car too. Hope you can do a review of the G42 on the track in the future!
Absolutely amazing can't wait until there's a comparison from both the M240i &.. the M2 of it all I love the brand new design BMW has done it again. 🤔.. Very unique and quick my type of car ..oh I'm a new subscriber from the United States loving the content 🙂👍🏽
I got one of these as a loaner when I gave my F87 M2 Competition for service. Yes the ZF 8 speed shifts fast on the upshifts but it doesn't have the crispy downshifts of the DCT. But for a pure street car and daily driver while taking the occasional back roads, it's great. But for pure track work, I'll stick with my M2. This car is just too heavy for being a 2 series. Just my 2 cents.
Love my m240i but man that carbon kit i need to replace instead of the gloss black I have. Need this in Canada and how many inches are those exhaust tips?
Such a colour, such a beast of a bmw. It’s in a different league. So many new models arrive. We get over excited, then just like mobile phones, a newer model gets designed, launched and hey presto. Our BMWs become dated!! Some of us can’t keep up!
Hi Tim I’m considering swapping my 240i like yours for one of these Is the body shell widened like the m2 or is that a standard bodyshell ? Like ours ?
M2 is going to come with a much larger price tag. The performance you get for the dollar with the M240i is unmatched right now at $49k USD. I'd expect you will be closing in on $80k for the xdrive M2.
it depends on the spec. If you choose the pack with wider tires and the wheelarch-extenders. (in Germany it's called M-technic package) the front discs will be 374x36 mm in front and 345x24mm rear, which means that your minimum wheelsize will be 18". If you go without the upgraded breaks you'll get 348x36mm front / 345x24mm rear and 17" will be fine. Although I must say this car needs at least 19" for looks :)
This is exactly why I had a golf r then bought an m2 then back to a golf r Still love awd Rear is far too hard work in the wet for me to get anything out of it
It has its uses tbh but in this day and age xdrive and 4wd s the common feature of many new cars..either get with it or keep the outdated versions and mod 😅
Great job on the video. I.m.o the car looks horrible, especially from the rear. I think they should've flipped the rear light upside down and the car would look much better. But if you like the looks and have the money then congratulations, I think it seems to be a great performing car and it's going to be interesting to see the new M2.
Great bit of kit I tell ya,but the weight of this thing(1690) will forever be ludicrous to me I can't even lie.The next generation m240i will be just under 2 tonnes smh
Paid 25k for 987.2 Box, Black edition - PASM, Sport Chrono, PDK, PSE. You get two seats but frunk and trunk. Daily drive mine with Tesco Momentum 99 and at Brands with V Power Petrol. Only mod is DSC V1 controller. Pay Porsche £750 a year for a bumper to bumper extended warranty - mainly cause the PDK is expensive - which means you have to get servicing done at an OPC but they pick up and drop the car off so I can work from home. Practical, capable & affordable. Trust me compared to M, RS & AMG it’s a level of precision above & beyond. Lotus, Alfa 4C & Alpine are competitors but not as practical...
Just the video I needed
B58 Lord, I hope you accept my offering 😅
💜
It's better than an M2, until the new M2 arrives - that promises to be one of the best BMW's if recent times
Here’s hoping!!
This didn’t age well
😂😂😂😂😂 that boxy ass looking fridge on wheels
Had mine 4 weeks so far and love it . Great review !
🏆
Thanks mate!

Torque central 😂
Great review. AWD and a wider track make all the difference.
100% bro! Insane improvement!

Very hard to keep up for sure! Can’t wait to see the M2!
Great vid bud 💜💜
Thanks big man! Need a date in the diary for the M4 next 👀

CHEEEESE AND BREEEAADDD 😍😍😋😍😋😋
XHP stage 3 did wonders for the shift speed in my F22 M240i, I’d recommend it if you haven’t done that mod.
I have it already but this felt different man
Hi Tim
I’m considering swapping my 240i like yours for one of these
Is the body shell widened like the m2 or is that a standard bodyshell ? Like ours ?
Slightly wider mate, I’ll say it’s in between
Has anyone put a matte ppf over a purple one like this? Thinking that could look great
100% 🥰 please like and sub!

78000$ is the sale price in the middle east, but it does come fully specced with ever option for that.. Still a bit steep though..
Just makes me more excited for the new m2!
Insane times ahead!
Nicely done mate 👌🤌
Thanks mate!

Any idea on brake disc size? If you could fit an 18 or 17" wheel over.

hey man! What wheels are those (and tires)? They look sick!
oh and what spacers does it run if any?
Give motech a message mate!
You can’t beat the real thing though, this car is way to heavy.. but it is the next best thing honestly it is.
Really excited if it goes on the track
Me too! Please like and sub!
These wheels are outside xdrive 1% diameter spec. If you use a wide staggered setup like this 275/245 then the from tire must be taller sidewall. Why?
I can’t wait for mine to come in 🤞🏼
Enjoy mate! Great car!
car looks so slick 👌
It does indeed, tastefully modified!
💜💜
That streering colum is sticking its neck out for you brudda
GoPro wide angle vibes 😆
Tim New M240i Better Car then the old OG M2 ?
Feels as compliant on the road and direct mate yes
This is exactly why I had a golf r then bought an m2 then back to a golf r
Still love awd

M2 because the M240 is not available in Manual Transmission (at least in the US).
Purist!!
@@TimWilliamsHD You Bet!
With what’s been done to that car it’s 55k at least can you honestly say it’s worth 2 old 240is at current prices never
Even stock it would leave the standard m240i…chassis feels totally improved
DUDEEEEE IS THAT A SUPRA
No its more M440i Supra is the Z4
It’s merely a teaser for their real deal the new M2.
Can’t wait!
So it’s better than an f87 m2 because it’s faster in a straight line? We forget about everything else that makes an M car?
Come on now.
Didn’t once say it’s better than a m2, I owned a m2 and it’s a different type of car but not sure what you mean about straight line speed?
On my way with that Broll 🔥😂
Haha as per usual
Hahahah

Haha it’s the hips bro 😆
Maybe if it were a manual…
Ah, the purists!
I'm loving this them wheels that colour I even quite like the back of it 😍 someone lend me 20k so I can trade my m140i in 😄
Unreal mate, i didn’t want to give it back 😭
Na I wouldn't Williams lad looks rare what them seats to they looked the part
Nah too big and heavy...Cayman 987.2, Alpine FTW
Same price range and daily use?
What is you need back seats ? and X drive ?

its just a xhp tune
No
To heavy, fussy styling no manual.
Take a m2 manual any day.
I love it man! Proper quick on B roads too, what felt heavy when you drove it?
