Can confirm its one of those songs that is really high for male voices and low for female voices in a way that if the girls try going one octave higher and aren't experienced in it, its pretty hard :o

Literally everyone but Ren is tuned to the point that they sound like old-school vocaloids. Then Ren shows up like a professional singer. What a ride.

i really like this song and i really hope they do more debut songs like this!
my only problem is that whoever mixed their vocals made it very painfully obvious that everyone except ren (and maybe maria?) got autotuned. autotune is fine but it’s only fine when you don’t make it super obvious. it makes me sad :(
anyway, i hope we get more cheerful, cute concepts like this again in the future! it’s my favorite.
(edit: i recommend looking at the replies because some people worded things better than i did
edit: i want to add this to make sure that people know i’m not blaming the members at all.
i really think it was the mixing that made it sound weird to me but i’m not knowledgeable about music so i could be wrong. also, again, i like the song. i still listen to the song frequently. i just don’t think the mixing shows how well the members can actually sing/rap. yes they can improve and yes there was issues while recording but i don’t really blame them for anything.

Honestly I think that’s what makes me cringe a little at all the nijsanji en songs is the overproduced auto tune. They all have such wonderful and unique voices but they sound robotic in these songs.

Yeah i suppose it just comes with the territory. A group of people with low experience in singing comes with the challenges of flow, rhythm, confidence and tune, and j pop / vocaloid backgrounds for vtubing makes this extreme auto tune feel normal (hence why every song sounds like this)
idk, i suppose it makes it feel a little cringe, but it’s also kinda wholesome in some ways as well.

I dunno. He can't sing to be honest. The autotune makes it obvious that his singing skills is not up there like the others. Though I mean he did try, which shows in that rap, so that's good still.
@@Torag55 He stated himself that he can't sing, but can rap to an extent. It's emphasized on this song, since his parts were mostly rap. I think he did well, especially on his first part, it didn't really involve different notes or melodies, but was sung in a "rap-style." I do think that his second part could've been better though, but the autotune and mixing (which he had no control over) played a major role and it worsened his parts a bit.
The fact Kyo's voice is the deeper in the group is really interesting! I love it :)

I might be wrong, but for the second two choruses, isn’t it “Juunintoiro” and not “Jinnintoiro”? Then again, I read 十人十色 as “juuninjuuiro” the first time I saw it, so it’s completely possible that 十 has different pronunciations depending on context.

exactly, i found it so upsetting that they gave her like 2 lines then proceeded to give the others more and then making more work for themselves by autotuning them (i am in no way saying that the rest are bad, they're all extremely unique voices. Its just that the autotune is so clearly heard in some parts when they could have just probably given those parts to maria because imho she does not need tuning at all. In this case it would have been more fair and they would have had less work to do)

Maria-sama's voice is just so *chef's kiss, hearing her vocals on her debut already gave me an idea how lovely her voice will be in their song. Aia's voice is just lovely as her looks, she just sounded like an angel that she actually is. I love Kyo's voice! I mean, hearing his voice on stream already made me feel things but hearing hjs singing voice is just! ack! Ren's part though!! I don't know how to explain it but dayum, i love you prince! Since I feel like I’ve been hearing a weird buzzing after some vocal lines for some of them, and sometimes it’s gone so idk)

Yeah, there Is some autotune in some parts, you are right and imo it wasn't that much needed, because I think they all have a voice good enough anyways( I think it was mainly on Aster's and Kyo's parts). But I don't hate it completely, just personal taste :D

Definitely agree, but says a lot about the song how it can still be banger even with a little too much reliance on the autotune!
