Ok, this needs to added to the highlight compilation.
I like learning that things in the Ecto-1 had names and purposes. As a kid, I used to wonder what all of the stuff in the roof was for, because I never saw it in action. As a bitter teenager, I thought it was all junk to make the vehicle cooler, which was "lame". As an adult, I got over it. As a middle-aged man who spends his money in Transformers, I feel my inner child is being vindicated, and my teen self can go fff-falaffel himself.

Honestly I think some manufacturers leave lines like that for the consumer to do *because* they're horrid and awkward and they would get QC complaints and returns/replacements if done badly at a factory level

I wouldn't hold your breath for that. Last I checked, that kit was technically only available in France. There is at least one US reseller importing them that I know of, but a lot of the packs are sold out and have a prohibitively expensive markup on them.
