Pretty much everything just comes from the discord server. Since this video is older, there's been new versions that have come out since then. But, yeah, you get an invite to the discord server if you apply from the beta and read the main channel, then check the #download channel afterwards
everytime i start the n64 to play sm64 the screen is black for 3 seconds then turns off the console. do i need a BIOS file thing? and how can i get it?
honestly, I'm not sure at this point. A lot of the stuff I have, I got years ago. There are places on reddit that had lists, but I don't even know if those things are updated :(. I'm sorry!
Everything works just fine for me except Gamecube.. I tried everything you can think of. GameCube BIOS (USA,PAL) in system folder and subfolder for good measure and nothing.. I tried different sources for BIOS and still... there's nothing online for GameCube "troubleshooting" on EmuVR. ty for the content anyways.
@@oppressed_gamer3193 If you have your roms for EmuVR set up as EmuVR/Games/Nintendo/SMB2.NES You would have to go into the Custom Folder and make sure the picture follows that same format. So you would put your cover for Super Mario Bros 2 in EmuVR/Custom/Labels/Nintendo/SMB2.jpg basically, just make sure you keep the folders and file names in your labels folder in the same order as your games folder. Sorry it took so long to reply!
I haven't figured this out, unfortunately. You can run games in Dosbox in EmuVR in the newest updates, but I'm not sure beyond that. Sorry for the long delay between replies!
@@arcadedude1987 Thanks for the feedback, i have figured it out, however I am yet to figure out DOS box in Emu, so if you could somehow help me on that that would be greatly appreciated
@@ean7650 any system that can be run in retroarch can be loaded within emuvr. You essentially need some kind of link or file associated with that emulator setup in your games folder and the system and cart will show up
Yeah, I only play this in VR, but before I got a headset, I spent a ton of time messing around with New Retro Arcade and Anarchy Arcade. Sometimes, the interface and experience of having a customized space to play your roms in can be a nice change of pace on desktop. It's also sometimes useful to make small changes and just use the desktop version of EmuVR to test things instead of taking the headset on and off a bunch to see if whatever you did worked
@@arcadedude1987 that's why I use a virtual desktop :) nah I'm kidding I do custom textures and I've also been hacking emuvr assets so that be super annoying to do within oculus
As far as I know, the only way to get the zip file for emuvr is to go to the official website and request beta access. It's www.emuvr.net/ You usually get a response really quick, and it's an invite to the official discord server. I can't really list where to get the ROMs and bios files from and it's honestly partially because I don't know of good ROM sites in 2020 :(
@@jaceworley Yeah, it's a huge bummer. I've had a lot of mine for years. A few years back when Nintendo went after some of the bigger rom sites, it made it a lot harder to find anything. My advice would be to check reddit, since sometimes people mention sites there that are reliable :(
lol, I wish I could help. There are still tons of sites. If you check around on reddit, there are places on there that keep up with current good rom sites
If you're trying to install it for EmuVR, your folders should look like EmuVR > Retroarch > System The bios files go straight in that folder. I think its scph5500.bin, scph5501.bin, scph5502.bin, and scph5552.bin. You might want to try just loading retroarch with those bios files and the ps1 game to make sure it works.
Thanks! Was having some trouble with the first tutorial. but i got all the files fixed now. (i hope)
Sooo were do u get the bios?? I'm trying to find a video to get playstation games to work
There's a thread on Reddit in r/roms that has all of that stuff. It's also available on archive.org but I can't give a specific link 😕
Thank you so much these types of videos help me fix things that I have done wrong
thanks for the help man you're a lifesaver

Damn they made this as hard as possible 😂
Thanks all set up but how do I change keybinds so that I can use my controller to actually play the games :)
Sega Roms work great in retroarch but when I use same roms in emuvr I use game scanner but does not. Detect any roms???

Where do you get the consoles at
Sorry I'm late getting back to you!. After you add the games in the game scanner, the consoles can be spawned in from the menu in game.
