    What do you think about the DJI Air 3? Are you upset about the sensor size and lack of aperture control? Or does the additional flight time and 3x lens make it worth it for you?
    PS: I've discovered that the FlyMore combo does not come with the filters. Apologies for being misinformed on that one!

    To get proper motion blur without ND’s or anything, just process the video on after effects and use pixel motion blur for full control. Then u can also get stills from the videos if shot with a higher shutter speed 🤙🏼

      You can see the vertical FOV increasing quite dramatically when he changes the setting at 5:32. Then he proceeds to tell us it's "the same as cropping 16x9". Makes me wonder what else he missed with that lack of attention.

      In most instances I’d personally still prefer to shoot horizontal for drone shots. I’d rather have the option to use it for horizontal and vertical projects and I’ll just reframe to keep my subject in the center. If you know it’s only going to used for social, you can use the vertical mode.

    I am annoyed that the ND Filter Set was made a separate, $100 USD purchase - NOT included in either Fly More Combo - just as there is no charging brick, just the hub requiring ANOTHER $70 (65 watt) or $100 (100 watt) so on top of the $1550 cost you have another $170-200. I bought the RC-2 Fly More. These upsells get expensive and DJI says they removed stuff "to give people options" 😒 🙄 yeah, and soften the price shock. Its absolutely worth it, but that is deceptive stuff right there.
    Also your Mini 3 Pro flying friend obviously didn't have the plus battery.

    Seems to me if you simply love flying drones and -or if this is your first drone, get the Air 3...it is a no brainer. However, if you are a content producer where photo and video quality is your main concern, stick with the Air2s if you have one or invest in the Mavic 3. It's as simple as that. This is a nice upgrade, but without a sensor upgrade, it is not a game changer.

    On vertical shooting; While it doesn't actually rotate like a mini does, what it does do is it uncrops from the normal 16x9 aspect ratio to the full sensor's 4x3 ratio and then crops in for vertical. This does give you a slightly larger field of view vertically than just shooting in the normal horizontal mode and then cropping in post.

    Let me start by saying I just subscribed to your channel because Finally a drone content creator that actually lays out the facts from the real consumer point of view not just the die hard videographer snob price is absolutely a major factor for any drone purchase which is why is why I started with mini 3 pro and avata then got the air 3 and was like oh heck yes this in every single way an improvement to 90% of dji consumer based drones at literally half the price or the same price as lower models I absolutely love all the added tech and the range is what I needed so much because it’s not about how far you can take the drone it’s the ability to penetrate through buildings and trees and other obstacles when your in the city that is the biggest upgrade that is most appreciated about this drone on top of the wind resistance which I was struggling with on my mini 3 pro and avata this air 3 is ultra stable. So far, so good with the Air 3. My only complaint is the RC2 battery life is horrid. I did an update (initial and it was easy 1st time through), used it to fly the drone about 20 minutes, then shut the drone down and used the remotes map to place some waypoints and save the path. That took up 75% of my RC2 battery life.

    The really big bummer is the different aperture at the 1x and 3x zoom - which was expected, though. If DJI had at least thought about it and made the ND filters with different grades for the 1x and 3x, so we could use the same shutter speed on both cameras in the same lighting conditions. The smaller sensor is actually an upgrade. While Back Side Illumination is still not on par with true stacked sensors, it is still a major improvement over the standard CMOS. This more than makes up for the Air 3 sensor being slightly smaller than it's predecessor's sensor.

      Sorry but i find the image the image of the 1/1.3" quad bayer looks very digital. It's just oversharpened by the internal algorithm and looks amateurish. Clearly not an upgrade. DJI should have kept a 1" CMOS as main cam and add the 70mm 1/1.3" as bonus. At this point the Air3 is just a Mini3Pro with an added 70mm, but way more heavier, bigger and louder.

If M3P would have two lenses (24 and 70) and weight would be under 900g I would go for it (3 lenses would be fine as well, except for the weight). Due to EU regulations it's much more complicated to fly a drone above 900g...

    Is the Air 3 a Mavic? I have never heard of the Air series being Mavics (I am a Noob though) I have come from flying drones for the sake of flying and building them, to beginning to do photography with them. I liked the look of the Mavic 3 series, especially the pro, of course... but the cost was very high, I couldn't justify spending that much on one drone. The obvious answer was not to buy ONE drone (haha)... I was tossing up between the Air 3 and the Mini 4 pro... the Air 3 won... then the Mini 4 pro won... then the Air 3 won again (and so did the Mini 4 pro) so I did the only thing I could possibly do... I bought both! When people ask which is my favorite, I say the one by DJI is my favorite. I am a beginner (in drone photography)... my advice to someone wanting to get into the hobby, either will be perfect, whichever you get you will be happy with... whichever yo get, you will wish you got the other... so, do what I did, buy one then save up for the other as well! Greetings from Australia (BTW, I just subscribed and tripped over some Kryptonite and strangely, it had no effect on me at all??!! Obviously, subscribing worked! Imagine that!!)

    I currently own the M2P. It's a pretty good drone still, but one big pain is the *ss is the adjustable focus. I can't count how many times I got home and realized that I forgot to adjust the focus and the videos/images came out blurry! Why can't they keep the focus to infinity. For goodness sake, it's a drone, it films landscape. There is no need for manual focus or even adjustable focus. Keep it on infinity or at least AF. I really contemplate selling it and getting a different drone because of it. is the focus on the mavic 3 also adjustable? what about the new Mavic Air 3?

    • @gregparadi
      @gregparadi Год назад

      Are you referring to Mavic2 Pro ? what do you mean by "adjustable focus " ? it has AF and AF-C - ( continuous auto focus -the latter, but this can be turned off). AF just does its job well. I had no problems with out of focus shots in the past years on my M2P.

    They should have included the 100w charger with the drone, without it, its pretty much useless. Charging takes more than half a day. Imagine doing back to back shoots. So add another $100 into the price and the cost of NDs which is needed for this drone for lack of aperture control.

    • @kylemeshna
      @kylemeshna  11 месяцев назад

      At this point I have so many good USBC chargers that I've never found that to be an issue. So many things take USB-C that I just bring one 100w Charger with me everywhere and call it a day. The lack of NDs in the fly more kit is a huge bummer though...
