Can we all just stop and take a second to thank Gopro and Redbull for changing the world of every sport and showing bikers, snowboarders, skaters arnt just punks and it actually takes skill and passion
haters are going to hate but Travis is definitely up there as one of the best in the world, not only for his sick style but for his contribution to the snowboarding culture. He continues to progress the sport and create something new, I don't see shaun white doing that. If you were one to think that Travis had an unfair advantage in comp and that he shouldn't have competed, then you're looking at the wrong picture. He wanted the competition to be an addition to his main goal which was to reconnect with other fellow boarders, to have fun and shred. He even invited Mark, even though he didn't do so great in comp, Travis wanted him to progress in the powder to extend his knowledge and experience in the sport to give him a different perspective and to show him the other side of the sport so he can be a well rounded snowboarder. Being the best snowboarder doesn't mean to put down the highest score, it means much more than that, you need to give back to the community and also to just have fun with fellow snowboarders.
They are doing the Natural Selection tour this year. First stop was just held in Jackson Hole and second stop was supposed to be here at this spot, before moving on to Alaska.
I honestly can't tell the difference between Red Bull and all the other energy drinks, but when videos like this are their marketing tools, I want to support them. The content, filming and editing are amazing.
This is the greatest course imaginable. It has it all.I am a 40 year old skier, I can still rip, i want 1 day on this shit. Nice job gentlemen. Great video.
This was Travis' upgrade from the "Natural Selections" contest he came up with. Def the future of snowboarding as the all-around elements come together--big mtn, powder, slopestyle, groomers... and you gotta love Travis. The guy has top skills, great vision, and most of all, a humble, down to earth personality. Dude is a winner as a person and an icon within the snowboarding community. Great hr 22
Travis was really strong once again, no whipeouts in either runs whatsoever and was the only rider who dared both back and front flips on the steep 50+ angle drop. RESPECT!
Snowboarding only gets more popular by these kinds of awesome tournaments. Sad to hear that your favourite player wasn't invited but loads of people start snowboarding thanks to Red Bull. Hosting These games makes snowboarding what it is today, awesome as fresh powder. May there be snow for many years and god bless the mountains.
Now, I'm not saying that Travis Rice isn't good at snowboarding, but I will say that it was completely unfair that he got to compete alongside with others. I mean, he designed the goddamn obstacles and everything ffs.
I am impressed, this sort of competition really shows off skill. That skill that comes from 10 000+ hours of riding that imprint enough scenarios into your memory well enough for you to pick out the right movement at every possible scenario you encounter down a hill you can not plan a lot or practice. Like lightning-chess, it separates the grandmasters from the rest.
this could be a 30 minute video without (commercial) breaks. i hate TV sports just because every single time they come back from commercial they re-introduce themselves, re-explain their purpose then give an update of what we just watched a second ago. Yet before the break they claim when they return we'll see some action, not just one guy then another set of commercials. Please RedBull, edit for internet to give a nice flow.
Ben Edwards That's not what I meant. Everytime a new rider does a trick they commentators are like "Yeah, this guy is a legend and probably the best right now!" Then another rider does his run and they say basicly the same thing about them.
But.... This contest was fixed... Travis (who created this course, HIMSELF) should not have been allowed to ride this, for the contest anyway. He knew what was coming, I guarantee he rode that slope before and/or after the additions.
I wanted to use Sail in my next kiteboard video!!! But this was amazing guys! I think John Jacksen should have won, but this was epic! and thanks for sharing on RUclips so I could watch from da Netherlands!
it may have been unfair but these guys are competeing in this event not so much just to take 1st but to try an event no one has ever tried before. it's simply a honor just to be able to compete in this event.
I need to make a trip to Utah this winter. I've heard nothing but great things about their snow. I'm from the Central Valley in California, our ski resort is an hour 15 away, 1600 vertial with 8900 peak... China Peak is its name. The good thing about the resort is its low key and you can find powder 2-3 days after a good storm because not everything gets tracked out the first day.
Watching Mark McMorris hit this course really shows how difficult this is. Mark is a top 3 in the world park rider...and looks like he's being taken to school out on this back country course. Seriously incredible event!
my 3 favorites in the top 3 :D, i was the hole time dreaming about what line i would do , ... very nice vid , i really wanted to be there :/ one day ... one day ...
Thats awesome you've been riding a snowboard that long! .. not a lot of people can say that!.. I will admit a lot of snowboarders hate the moguls, but you have to admit it takes talent/skill to ride them with skis or a snowboard.
this even wasn't about who won and who lost. it was about people from all around getting together as friends and hitting a course that is revolutionary for the sport of backcountry riding. rice had never hit this course before so his advantage wasn't huge. he is just arguably the best backcountry rider there is. at the end of the day, they all had a friend time and reconnected with each other. in my eyes, thats a mission accomplished. view it more as a bro sesh then a competition
When people do this it iss truly inspirational all of these riders just make you feel awesome and they make you want to ride these people are awesome. So before you press that thumbs down button remember this and think these guys are awesome and I wish I could ride like that
made a snowboard park in a powder field.. come down to the okanagan pow few valleys over... lol thats all we ride.. we've had our "supernatural" comp we called it bare essentials.. dragged people in from around the valley.. such a solid comp
Watched the whole thing!!!! This is SOOO sick!!! Travis rice is sooo sick!! I hope mammoth mountian gets that kind of powder during the winter break.... I went during thanks giving break and it was Soo sick!!!!
I'm absolutely amazed by how well you can tell Travis Rice rides the mountain and makes the most out of it. Coming from a skier, I would definitely say Travis is a better rider then Shaun White. I didn't say Shaun White isn't good because I think he's great, but that just shows how good Travis really is.
as soon as red bull gets behind a snowboard or action sports feature they take it to next level cinematics. red bull is trully one of the best companies as far an advertising stand point goes. They are fluid and they know what people look for so heres to you president of advertising. I say good fucking job for createing one beverage one single fucking beverage and making a billion dollar company out of it. I mean you dont even have that strong of a product line to work with. good job bro!
McMoriss's interview after his first run is one of my favorite ever
This is unreal how good this is
Travis Rice at 37 minutes. You know he's feeling like a friggin boss. "That top pillow. SO MONEY" - Travis Rice
Can we all just stop and take a second to thank Gopro and Redbull for changing the world of every sport and showing bikers, snowboarders, skaters arnt just punks and it actually takes skill and passion
John jackson is hilarious. Put the biggest smile of my day on my face.
I love red bull Signature Series, it is the best thing that comes up on my subscription list!

John Jacksons trick was the highlight. But travis is just unbelievably smooth. Great video. Amazing competiton....I love redbull!

Another Redbull classic video.

This long format content is the kind of stuff I want to see from Redbull, good job!
Supernatural 2021 or 2022 comeback? I mean, this is the sickest competition ever!
They are doing the Natural Selection tour this year. First stop was just held in Jackson Hole and second stop was supposed to be here at this spot, before moving on to Alaska.

wish Torstien could've been invited

34:40 for Travice Rice
So Sweet!! Can't wait to hit the slopes this year!! These guys are INSANE!

Tv is so gross the branding is pretentious and unberable. Hate thee way the commentators talk they sound so fake. TV is just full of inflated egos
Supernatural movie here => twitter.com/e807528950f1f72c3/status/824452222700318724
JackHabbit triggered!!!!!!
Terje Håkonsen !!! Hop to see more of his snowboarding !!
Commentators don't seen to have a clue
Yeah right? Every rider in this competition is appearantly the best snowboarders alive right now.
+Otto de Maré They said 18 OF the best, not the 18 best.
Ben Edwards That's not what I meant.
Everytime a new rider does a trick they commentators are like "Yeah, this guy is a legend and probably the best right now!"
Then another rider does his run and they say basicly the same thing about them.
Otto de Maré Gotcha, totally agree.
Awesome contest! More of these should be built and competed on. It mixes real back country riding and slopestyle together, pretty awesome.
But.... This contest was fixed... Travis (who created this course, HIMSELF) should not have been allowed to ride this, for the contest anyway. He knew what was coming, I guarantee he rode that slope before and/or after the additions.
I would probably be like Mark.
i would be worse...
Simon Tammilahti Lol
I wanted to use Sail in my next kiteboard video!!! But this was amazing guys! I think John Jacksen should have won, but this was epic! and thanks for sharing on RUclips so I could watch from da Netherlands!
really bad coverage, so much nonsense and they didn't even show both of everyone's full run
Man, I'm out in Japan and we got some good places but nothing like that…Priceless footage!
it may have been unfair but these guys are competeing in this event not so much just to take 1st but to try an event no one has ever tried before. it's simply a honor just to be able to compete in this event.
absoltly amazing, worth the watch.
21:11 I am not so used to seeing Mark McMorris falling this hard but this is just hilarious HAHAHAHA sorry Sparky

So rad !!!
I love his, "well that was crazy... really got thrown around, can't wait to get back to the top and go again!" attitude.
amazing! take a genius to come up with a snowboard comp so epically exciting bring on the future of surepnatural!
this even wasn't about who won and who lost. it was about people from all around getting together as friends and hitting a course that is revolutionary for the sport of backcountry riding. rice had never hit this course before so his advantage wasn't huge. he is just arguably the best backcountry rider there is. at the end of the day, they all had a friend time and reconnected with each other. in my eyes, thats a mission accomplished. view it more as a bro sesh then a competition
