@@annas8762 It’s in the South of Germany (Baveria) , it’s called Garmisch-Partenkirchen. You can ski and and go on walks there. There’s also a city « center » with shops and restaurants. It’s really nice and affordable!

I was stationed at Ramstein AB, Germany 1996 to 2000. I went to Garmiche many times on volksmarches. Stayed in many of the youth hostels and huttes along the way (this was long before Air B&B's ever existed). Beautiful country side...

Do not underestimate yourself: you are all young and healthy people, but I can see how difficult that hike was based on things like the coloration of different parts of your faces at certain stages, what your breath looked like, and so forth. Enjoy youth and health for as long as you have it...and the retention of one's youth is truly a state of mind, so I hope all of you are still young even when you're sixty! My usual wish for people on their birthdays is "May you live three-times-three as long as you have up until now, and may I be there to see as many such celebrations of your future birthdays as possible!" So, at 20 or 21, that would be around 180+ years...which is optimistic, granted, but hey, why not? You're less likely to be wrong or morbid with that math! ;) Thanks for sharing this!
Literally came back from a 10 day camping trip through Bavaria today. So beautiful, especially the autumn colours😍 Quick side note: be careful with train tracks in Germany. A lot of them are electrically conductive to supply the trains with electricity, so they can be really dangerous. Take care❤

When you look up at cloud-shrouded snow-capped mountains, you might want to remember that snow-capped+clouds means it's probably snowing up there. You are actually lucky you had good weather. Sneakers and wet snow and steeps can be pretty hairy and if it gets windy or snowy you can get awfully cold really fast and become a real fashion victim. But boy oh boy, that's some beautiful video.

I love Garmisch. It's the first place I lived in when I left the US to work in Europe. After a Month I went to Vienna. Beautiful country.
