- Leny Yoro shined brightly in his debut for Manchester United against Rangers. The young center back showed all the qualities required in an elite modern defender and looks set to be a massive player under Erik Ten Hag.
Yoro just arrive, not even a week training. But his perform well, far beyond his age. Cant wait to see he play in EPL
The good thing about Yoro is how everything comes naturally to him, from positioning to finding laser point passes. I guess that's what you get from a CB that has been cultivated in a particular system where it becomes 2nd nature and automatic to think 1 or 2 steps ahead. Really good mirror for Zirkzee who is of the same mentality.
I seriously think that should be the main project of INEOS appointed executives. Build a style at the final years of academy that allows individual thinking and expression, but also better thinking. Once you do that you don't need massive signings every year, you build your own, that's what has been missing in United since Glazer cut down the focus on academy.
@@rana1561 unfortunately that seems to be the case with our previous owners. Take that one "mispass" by Yoro. That pass is considered "automatic" for him but for the rest of the players it isn't. I think this needs to be drilled more on the training field so it becomes natural for the whole team. This in turn will make our possession game more efficient as it cuts down on unnecessary steps to get the ball up as fast as possible before the opposition can organize their shape.

*Preach* on the part about standing behind our players. United fans are so used to Stop gap FC (getting players that can get us top 4 and make the Glazers happy). Our rivals can't wait for our new signings to make a mistake or struggle, it's our duty now to be sensible and patient and give the players time to grow into the team.
The reaction to Onana's first 6 months is a good example of the impatience within the fan base, we need to give the new/young players time to integrate into the team/city/club cause, again, our rivals wont, so it becomes our duty.

What a display of pure superstar talent, when he played I definitely had my eyes all over him to see firstly how he fits in and why they make the big fuss on this kid's amazing talent. Boy was I blown away... So excited for the upcoming season to see all our new signings..... And this is not done by Ineos because Manchester united is Ineos so I'll recognize them by Manchester united coz that's who they are.
After watching Yoro play I am confident he will combine very well with Licha Martinez. Ferdinand Vidic era will be revived again.

i agree with the yoro mistake in the sense that it most certainly wasnt his fault. ive alr read a couple of comments on other platforms criticizing him for that but im certain that any football fan knows that that isnt on him at all. in fact id argue he made the right decision but it was the incompetency of either Collier or Evans who werent able to read the situation. yoro was outstanding today n he rly does give me the same demeanor as Mainoo. very calm n tidy on the ball n that's only a positive

The fan base is like the problem last season they were seeing the reason for the bad performance and they still complained, Leny Yoro could make 1 or 2 mistake but that will not change the fact that he is an excellent player. United fan should reduce this thing because I know they can't stop it totally. They did it with Onana and see how he turned out. actually I recall when Rio started, because at that time he was still relatively rare as a ball playing defender, he'd make more of these sort of mistakes that the traditional guys before him did not, and obviously that turned out OK....

I believe that this season, United are going to face a lot of teams who will play in a low block and then hit on the counterattack, especially at home. Yoro will be a key player, though so young, in that 3 -1 - 6, 2 - 3 -5 rest defence.
If we buy De-Ligt, I think he will be deployed in tougher home and away games as teams like City, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Villa will look to play on the front front and so the structure of our defence will have to be more compact.
2:10 is actually evans fault and it is partly because of the team he use to play are mostly defensive team, defenders like rudiger, Silva, Ramos make use of that opportunity to slice the opponent first line of defense/pressing.

Seems like Yoro will be a good player for us, really excited. Regarding Onana, I think you guys actually caused a lot of the issues, claiming that he was something he wasn't. I think it's important to also not turn on players that have left when they have been good servants. People like Mata, De Gea, Herrera represented the club well. I think most people believed Onana would come good, they just didn't believe how others can go from De Gea is one of the top shot stoppers in the world, to Onana is a better shot stopper, yet Onana is not even generally considered one of the best shot stoppers in the world. The whole thing just didn't make sense, and that's what many pointed out. Credit where credit is due, even with the mistakes Onana is one if not the top one with his feet. Now shot stopping? That is still in the air and needs more to prove he is elite in that area.
Leny did not make mistake, its his teammates who had been use to playing watching and waiting for the ball instead of going for or create space for passes....

The MEDIA can criticize these boys and ETH to the core. That's their job. But we the fans and supporters of Man. Utd., we should urge the boys on and back them to succeed.
I don't think that pass is a mistake. Only that man utd defenders likes side passes of which the pass is supposed to be ahead in a triangular patter not the static way. For me Jonny Evans was supposed to step up to pick up the pass but we can't blame him too because he is not used to it. It's their first time together.
That misplaced pass from yoro. Just shows how rooted in his ways Evans is. That pass was clearly meant for him. And even after that.. Backs in until the forward got into the box. I cannot tell you how many times. He has ushered forwards into the box rather that deal with them outside where you aren't limited to committing a penalty if the tackle is miscalculated. I don't understand why the extended contract. Maybe for leadership purpose?
