A few things from my experience havign this scooter for 1 month: - It does not go 18mph as claimed on their website. It goes 15.5mph as claimed in the video (due to scooter speed limit laws). -It has zero suspesion so riding it on bumpy surfaces are painful and can be shocking and scary. -It claims to have a range of 18 miles which is not true especially when you're using the L2 mode which lets you go up to 15.5mph. -The brakes are weird, fronts may be electronic assisted but it sort of grabs the front brake disc quite instantly which is very jerky. When the scooter is off, only the rear brake works. -Its not waterproof so be careful ! Overall It is a very good budget scooter beacuse you have features like a built in cable lock, lights, 350W battery and a very sturdy chassis and to me this is more of a beater scooter. If you're thinking of carrying it around inside stores and such, its probably not the best idea as it is pretty heavy to carrry one handed. overall 8/10 (if it was priced higher it would be 7.5/10)
Thanks for this. I just ordered a pair and was wondering about the top speed discrepancy on their website. When you say it’s not waterproof, can you explain? The specs say IPX6 so would it be okay to ride in a light rain and a light splash from the roadway?
I just noticed the box for the G3 shown at the beginning of the video says the scooter is rated IPX4. The spec list on the website shows IPX6, and the user manual says do not ride in wet conditions. This is all very misleading and Gotrax needs to fix their website. Thanks again for your input of personal experience
I have a rear wheel and motor assembly for a Gotrax G3 and my scooter was stolen! Would love to send this off to someone who can use it for super cheap.
Did you say pneumatic brake? A pneumatic brake would require a tank to hold a supply of compressed air - and an on board compressor. Those are big truck brakes. That scooter has a mechanical disc brake. Also, that's a brake cable - not a brake line. Just helping you with your nomenclature bro.
It's the G4 when I got it lol not bad tho but I've upgraded since to faster 26 miles an hr and further 40 miles and hage 2 x batteryes as they are in floor detachable .... same price as G4 scooter to and 3 inch tires almost wide.. be safe ride safe and #awareness #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #REDEMPTION #faith #family #forgiveness #endcruetly #xtremesportstherapy
I have a G3 and I changed the rear tire air chamber and since that day it hasn't worked anymore when starting, a beep comes out and it doesn't start when I accelerate
Push to start scooter means you have to me moving for the motor to start working. So, you need to hop on the scooter, push with one foot to get it moving, then hit the throttle.
It's the G3. I also thought it didn't have the built in lock when it was ordered. If you look on the site, though, both the G3 and G4 images don't show a lock. I think they added it to both and just haven't updated the images yet.
Haven't heard of them before. Looking at the site they seem like a knock off of xiaomi. I'd be wary of them but can't say for sure since I haven't tried their scooters.
I read out the specs from the website. When I tested it I got 11 miles of range in a real world condition. With all scooters I generally assume that real range will be 60% of advertised.
@@TheScooterSpot G3 is advertised as having a 300W Motor, on their website. However you say it comes with a 350W Motor on your review. Also, you say is $400.00, but it is $450.00 rather.
I've been reviewing scooters and just bought this, two actually, largely based on your review. Thanks for the vid!
Let me know what you think! I'm super impressed with the G3, especially considering the price.
was the G3 a 300W motor or 350W??
Nice review man, you did an excellent job as you covered pretty much everything, thank you so much.

@@daveb8898 I guess light sprays are fine but definitely not when its raining. Its because they have no sealant inside the frame.

The front brake is electromagnetic. according to GOTRAX
Thank you amazing review
Love the contents
pneumatic, they make air brakes on scooters? that looks like a cable brake. no?
I think you're right - was probably thinking about air tires.

its only a 300W Motor,
it is in the descritpion on the website
Hi. I search the tire 7.5 till for the unagi scooter

are you kicking? if so, attach the chain properly
my left ear really enjoyed this video
Bro all your voice audio only comes through the left headphone.
Didn't know that - thanks for calling it out. I edit without headphones so I would never have noticed.
Beautiful city what’s name of skyscrapper in back looks triangular shape
Please can somebody tell me how I put on scooter it what I need to push to start scooter please help me today I tried 10 minutes it’s not going

i have a g3. paid 440 for it, do u think its worth paying 630 for the g4?
Depends on the range mostly. If the G3 gets you where you need to go without any issue I'd say stick with it.
so your only options are 10 and 15 mile speeds?
Is this the G4? I thought the g3 didn't have a built in lock.

How does the front brake work? Is it tied into t he same rear brake lever?
There's no lever for the rear brake. I suppose you can step on the rear fender with your foot to manually stop in addition to the front hand brake
Thoughts on AOVOPRO? They seem to be even cheaper but have the same specs.
Haven't heard of them before. Looking at the site they seem like a knock off of xiaomi. I'd be wary of them but can't say for sure since I haven't tried their scooters.
Can a 12 year old ride it? Im looking for a nice electric scooter for myself
I think so, G3 has a relatively short stem compared to some of the bigger models!
@@TheScooterSpot oh okay thank you
i wouldn't call those "gear setting". the scooter has no gears. it's more of a speed limit setting
Did it really gave you 18 miles for full charge or less ?
I read out the specs from the website. When I tested it I got 11 miles of range in a real world condition. With all scooters I generally assume that real range will be 60% of advertised.
is waterproof??
Does it have a brake/taillight?
Yes!
get the feel fer the spiel the all new gotrex gt
quick question, on their website it says this thing can go 18mph, is this true? Or does it go up to 15mph
Hmm, maybe they updated the scooter. The one I have maxes out at 15.5 mph- It stops you from going any faster. I'd guess it still goes 15.5 mph.
It dose not say that. It says it has a range of 18 miles
Also my G4 does 20 miles an hour and 20 miles real range ?
The G3 and G4 have mostly the same build. G4 just has bigger tires and more power.
@@TheScooterSpot ahh ok makes sense lol cheers
Your dope dude
Good Boy
It has a 300w motor not 350w.
It’s a 350w
i can still return it
Am I the only one that can’t hear it
Think he means g4
The G3 and G4 have the same build, just different motor.
He doesn’t
