- Mowzie's Mobs 1.5.17 is out! Get it here: www.curseforge.com/minecraft/...
This version introduces Barakoaya - a new kind of Barakoa created from Masks of Faith. Barako will spawn them periodically during his fight to protect himself. They'll teleport somewhere in the village and channel a Sunblock effect on Barako, healing him slowly and making him immune to all damage. Quickly kill the Barakoaya to make Barako vulnerable again. Players wearing the Sol Visage can summon Barakoaya from Masks of Faith, too. When following the player, they'll cast a weaker version of the Sunblock effect equivalent to Regeneration I and Resistance II.

I’ve accomplished defeating a Ferrous wroughtnaut on hardcore! but it did get a tad bit harder due to sweaty hands.
Wow, this mod is fantastic! The models and animations are 100 times better than those of other mods! Are you still using Llibary? Or do you do the animations directly in Blockbench (Geckolib or something)??

That’s cool, I noticed the new mob used it’s new healing armor spell on a zombie, I’m guessing this will damage it because it’s sun magic?

@@JotaroSans6969 Yes, I make mods. Not pocket edition addons! My animations and other features are simply not supported by addons, so it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to port Mowzie’s Mobs perfectly no matter how much I want to or how much you ask.
Play Java Edition if you want the original Mowzie’s Mobs.

What you ask is impossible. I’ve given you two valid alternatives: JustMrDevil’s port, or Java Edition. Once you’ve finished this childish tantrum, you should choose one. In the meantime, you are only embarrassing yourself.

I‘ve come to revisit this video in order to say farewell to the old barakoa design. I‘ll be really sad to see it go, though I do think the decision to change it was correct. I only hope the new design will be able to live up to the greatness of the current version.

1. Perhaps a creature that spawns in the deep sea
2. A creature that looks like a venus flytrap which spawns underground
3. For this mod to be in 1.17
1. This is planned.
2. I already added a venus fly trap mob.

but theres a one question fix the bug of mask can throw and summon minions with out sol vissage fix that bugs and foliaath seed is broken and i cant eat the meat from my plant and open the mount in the second he not eat meat pls fix it

This is a mod, not an Addon. It only works on Java edition, not Bedrock edition.

@@leonalez7174 They are only created by Barako. This is entirely by design. They exist to prevent cheesing strategies against Barako.

Can you add a new item that is called "Glaciers Orb" (don't have to name it that)? It allows the mob Frostmaw to be tamed and if you do add this in then I don't need credit, I just want the Frostmaw to be tamed
No, sorry. Tamed frostmaws would be way too powerful.

Alright, hear me out. I know this is a weird place for this, but i have my reasons not to do it elsewhere. I‘ve got an idea for the unused sunblock staff. How about you allow the player to use the teleport the barakoaya use, by right clicking in whatever direction they are looking. The staff would have a limited amount of uses, but it wouldn‘t break on the last one. If you wanted to use it again you would have to repair it with mending. Obtaining the staff would simply be done by trading with the barakoaya.
Nah, it’ll be used to put the Sunblock effect on mobs

@@MarvenFilipinas No, they’re based on a type of goblin from Zulu mythology.
But even with green skin people still compare them to real human cultures. These comparisons are racist, and so I am changing the Barakoa even more. Check my twitter for more info.

I went to some mowzies mobs images to draw with but i found something it turns out theres a new barakoa but it was never added by you and its called the barakoa shamman and he also got a spear- i mean staff just like the barakoayas and an ancient one that can attack and use his deadly magic attacks to kill the player or even mobs and why wont you added the barakoa shamman bob mowzie? And want me to send my mowzies mobs drawings?

You should add an Advancment where you have to collect all of the barakoa masks. It could be a secret one if you want it to be.

@@BobMowzie I do have a question. Will you backport this new update to 1.15.2? I mean...it didn't take you long at all to port from 1.15 to 1.16 so it shouldn't be that bad. But again...I know no magic behind backporting to these versions.

Hey...I just thought of something...What if there was another Barakoa Mask variant and when you wear it, it gives you the luck effect. It would be a bonus in the mod since you can't get the luck effect in survival any other way. Maybe it would be called "Mask of Luck?"
Again...I am not good at coming up with names...
And for those who don't know, the luck effect makes you get better stuff by a slight when fishing.
Aside from Faith and Fury, the masks are named after emotions. They give somewhat related effects. I don’t think the luck effect fits this pattern, sorry.
@@BobMowzie ah...I actually didn't know the lore behind these...but that's ok! Well if a mask of luck ain't gonna do it, have you ever thought of adding banner patterns to your mod? Kind of like how Alex and a few other people do it to their own mods. It would be awesome if the Barakoa had their own design on a banner and you would see those banners in the village to show you who's the boss! And the Banner Pattern would be obtainable through the village chests or they would be tradeable. Just a thought.

Players were able to make the Barako fight too easy by placing lava at his feet or sniping him from an enclosed room. I added the Barakoaya to counter this strategy.

@@alangerardogonzalezrodas2672 Barako starts attacking once you place lava anywhere in the village. This does not sound like an easy task at all. It also won't work, as the Barakoaya can't take damage until after they teleport and they do not teleport into lava.

Mods don’t work on Bedrock edition! It is impossible.
Try JustMrDevil’s fan-made port. It is not feature-complete but it might be what you’re looking for.

One of the barakoaya 's were giving invunerability to a zombie.
That has since been fixed.
