Thank you Henning for this great video. For reviews like this you are my trustworthy resource, maybe the only one out there. In none of the other Reviews i have watched they come across the virtual track feature, which is so valuable when using ampsims. For me as a fellow cubase user the trick with you monitor track is of equal value. So thank you doing what you do, the way you do.
This is such a great audio interface. I now use it for all of my Amp sim videos
This was perfect for being remote and the added St.James plugin is a great added value 🤘
Great review! Danke Henning.
This is a really useful video! Saving it to my little folder of guitar expert stuff. Thanks Henning!!!
I am so getting this.
Probably the 4 channel. But I only need 2, but good to have more in case more people want to come home to record
I clicked because the dog on your shirt looks EXACTLY like my dog. OK, TBH I was gonna watch anyway 😅
I wish things like "Enhance" wouldn't be called that. Just be honest, companies! Makes our lives easier..
Today's almost relevant fact: St. James is the patron saint of people with arthritis.
(Ok, yes, my mind wandered when I got bored half way through Henning's DAW setup explanation)
Who’s the saint of Plantar Fasciitis? My feet feel like my shoes are made of Razor blades????
@@PooNinja Ah yes, lower foot complaints. You need to make offerings to St Solon of Cilicia, or St Servatius. Perhaps a weasel or a hedgehog (if these are problematical, offer up next door's cat).
@@digitalchris6681 ill see if Leslie will let me have one of her hedgehogs? But I’ll probably just have to find a weasel. used car lots are typically full of greasy sales weasels, ill start there . Burnt offerings or just leave it on the alter to decompose?
@@PooNinjaBest to rip out the entrails and weave them into a hat.
@@digitalchris6681 i hope this works because that smashing tennis balls before bed! Bonus i do like hats!
Henning is so cool, I hope he finds the person who stole his hair.
Hi Henning thanks for the great video. I use an Apollo and open a stand-alone plugin and open the uad console software and use the virtual channels and these are routed to the input inside my daw. Is this the same approach as you demonstrated in the video? Thanks again love your channel😀
@@henriksorensen6438 that’s a completely different approach, but it sounds like this can work nicely as well.
@@EytschPi42 hi thanks for info😊
In Reaper if you have tracks with plugins loaded you can freeze out the tracks and free up tons of resources. I like using it for midi vsti's also.
Yes, that is standard, but it still doesn’t teach you to make decisions.
For me, I just prefer to track a guitar and have it burned in.
So what you're saying Henning, is that if this product is discontinued it becomes a rather attractive paperweight in the event that you have to re-install software due to an upgrade or a system drive failure? Even $200 isn't cheap if the unit is basically disposable. Please tell me I'm wrong about this.
No, it is an audio interface like many others and will do its job until there are no more drivers… like any other interface
@@EytschPi42 Sorry I misunderstood. I get that kind of vibe whenever I feel like a product doesn't just support ASIO right out of the box. If I can't use an interfaces basic functionality without another layer of software or some other drivers it makes me wonder how dedicated is this company to supporting this product. Cause if they aren't you end up with a great piece of gear that is now a paperweight, like TC Electronics Impact Twin. I don't mind if software is there to provide extra features but it should just work as a basic interface as soon as you plug it in. If it doesn't do that, they can keep it!
(Frantically typing on keyboard)Enhance, Enhance Engance egads that’s a fun interface.
I wish they would make Plugin hardware audio computers, where a dramatically stripped down OS was loaded onto an EPROM, and it was as reliable as hardware.
( where a whole synth rig was like a thick tablet computer )
building guitar rigs is easy, child's play in comparison.
a Korg Drumlogue would satiate my percussion GAS, but there is no one synth like that.......or if there was, I couldn't afford it.
Excellent video, and hence the problem with everything related to products today. If you buy the product, you have to "register" and at that time you've signed away ALL your personal identifiable information. I'm pretty tired of it. Just bought a new Toyota 4Runner, comes with this and that BUT if you don't agree to them selling all of your data to "their" 3rd party vendors (AKA - data brokers) you don't get WHAT you paid for. Again, I'm tired of it and everyone is doing it, everyone! As ticked as you are re: software, EVERYONE should be ticked with this crap!
I get basically no latency on my plugins as it is.
@@brandonbryson3317 Then you've found a way to break one of the immutable laws of physics.
Hi Henning.. As a guitarist I just wanna find some usable sounds in no longer than 5 minutes that I can use to create some songs. Sorry but I think Blackstar need to re-evaluate their products, they seem to be heading to Sonic death valley. I have a lot of respect for their Past products but they've wondered off the path of creativity. Best Regards 😃. John.
for me, the St james Suite is exactly that... get great sounds to record with immediately... and this interface doesn't distract and gives you what you need to make music.
If you use a USB B adapter for your phone you probably don’t have a B to C cable. If you already have a USB C adapter for your phone, you almost certainly have a USB C to C cable.
WTF. I'm shocked again, and again over the effort, you have to go through on the Mac, to get a setup, that's pretty simple, and straight forward on Linux with Jack, or Pipewire. Why exactly do people consider the Mac to be particularly fit for media production?
The interface itself would be perfect for my current project, if it had MIDI. I'm working on running NAM together with various other plugins on a RaspberryPi 5 as light weight gigging rig. That'll need MIDI for the foot switch.
You are a different level of nerd! I like it!
Without watching the entire video... I am confused wtf this is and why it's necessary at this point in time... 🤣
Im too confused to buy it
