I said after the game yesterday that its so important to have a keeper that not only saves the shot but holds onto the ball aswell. His confidence is infectious and it spreads to the defence and then when there's confidence in the defence the attacking players can get on with doing their thing. IMO he's our best summer signing.
I was so gutted when we left arsenal but happy to see him get the game time he deserves. Villa are definitely my second team this season especially with Barkley finally on form again!!
I am now sure that Southgate is totally out of his mind . Why he dropped grealish from first eleven against denmark . This lad is currently most creative player in english team .

Dean Smith's genius actually started last season when we had 4 games left and he made sure we stayed up with that remaining 4 fixtures. It's only natural that we do so well this season. What a time to be a Villa fan. So happy. Hopefully we maintain this form until the end of the season. UTV. 💪💪😁

What a difference from when we faced Leicester last season and got plastered all over the shop by their commitment, organization and pace. Sure, they were missing a few key men but it's still a solid result and a dream start to the season. We were genuinely lucky to stay up last season, despite some brave performances at the end of the campaign. We've done some good deals over this summer though. Martinez is the best goalie we've had for a good few years, Watkins looks a very tidy centre-forward and Barkley coming in on loan was very clever; not only is he a fine player in his own right, but it means Grealish gets a few more inches of room to play, and he's carving teams up. Early days but we look good for a Top 7/8 finish, and maybe even a European place.

The team is very good, especially the second half, Barkley is distinguished in shots. This advantage should be used and focus on ending attacks Forward Aston Villa
We've added more than one to be fair. Barkley and Watkins are both class. Martinez in goal is also great. Also having McGinn fully fit is a massive difference as opposed to last season where he was out for the majority.

I think a lot of our success stems from the absence of the fans. There is considerably less pressure and the lads can express themselves. Barkley = Power, he'll be worth every penny if he elects to stay.

Well he wasn't dropped as he has never been in a competitive first XI in the first place. Southgate hates him.
