This past week Luke James joined us for a Stevie Wonder tribute, and Yebba and Common fell through. It was dope as fuck. I’m at the Blue Note for 2 more weeks. Come through!

I love me some Luke James. He does not get the recognition he rightly deserves. His vocals are amazing. The brother is just incredible. My favorite songs of his is called "Make Love to Me Girl."

I grew up playing music since my elementary/early teen years. The Roots were my inspiration growing up for my era because they combined the elements of hip hop with live instruments. Robert Glasper gives me that same feeling. I've been a follower of his since day 1. He even inspired me to pick music back up as an adult and now I have found my happy place again. I can honestly say, battling depression, with the inspiration of Robert Glasper and his ensembles and music, "I've Found My Smile Again" (D'angelo voice). Thanks Robert!

I am so loving these different “get-togethers” that artists are doing nowadays. There’s just this beautiful synergy that’s taking place and I feel like each artist is in a safe space and giving their best because they are around the best. Just small settings of Quality music... good people in the audience and the bands. Love it❤️
I agree, Ive preferred the smaller venue/group concept for live music. Lest acoustics and artists seem so much more relaxed in being themselves. Thats where their artist genious comes thru & the magic happens.

So glad that I’m able to recognize the fact that these were great tunes beautifully done by this amazing band (who’s the guitarist? Damn!!!) And the singers ! Lord have mercy! They were perfect! Luke James killed it and Yebba took me to the throne!
