The way he got a little emotional just in the scene where Miyagi meets Daniel's mom.... that tells you how much the Mr Miyagi character meant to a whole generation of movie-goers. He is fictional but a great life role-model. RIP Pat Morita
With the Karate Kid there is a much deeper message. It has absolutely nothing to do with Karate. The deeper message is that a person can achieve their goals. As long as they put in the hard work...
The underlying aspect of Mr. Miyagi’s story of fighting for life is probably important to remember when talking about how his dojo and Daniel were able to win the tournament their first time competing. I’m guessing Mr. Miyagi faced even tougher opponents in his younger days.
mmhmm. Well not just his younger days, I think a lot of the times when Miyagi talks about "fighting for his life" he genuinely means when he was in World War 2. It clearly was something he wasn't proud of and hides away...but still eats at him a lot. Where as Kreese likes to show his stuff off like he's some big hero. Pretty opposites...and it's clear that Miyagi knows that taking life is pretty horrible and doesn't make you a hero..even if that's what he was treated as in a way.
@CrazeeAdam seeing how both miyagi and kreese lost the people they love during war. How easily miyagi could have became kreese but he was just to good of a person to do that.
I like how Jeneva was really getting into it throughout the movie as the story progressed. Yes she may have been a virgin to the Karate Kid franchise but hey better late than never. Welcome to the Karate Kid fan base!
The gentlemen wom played Mr miyagi has paced away. The character miyagi is based upon the real Shinto kan karate master of the same last family name originally from Okinawa Japan . The actors name is pat Morita.
Nip comes from Nippon, an old word for Japan. Aw, the drunk Mr.Miyagi scene. I was interested in the girl’s reaction about the wife and child. Most dramatic scene in the movie. Oh well.
That was am Awesome show everyone very good job 👏 👍. Can't wait to see yall check out the other 2 movies. I saw these as kid when they were coming out initially 😆 🤣 I never thought I would get old 😆. Keep up the terrific work 👏 👏 👏
I tell folks that I'm not over the hill but am beginning to see the top of it. @@smoothe4216 Zara likely will and Jeneva just likes anything funny. Airplane has something for all and these guys know what a parody is when they see it. Some references will be lost on them, but honestly most Reactors are like that. Even the obvious horse scene one.

Would be cool if you watched all the movies then could also watch the cobra Kai series together edit: should’ve watched more than one minute in and my comment would have been answered 😁

@Miles Doyle your meds r past due.
@Miles Doyle okay.
To this day Ralph Macchio actually has that yellow car

Karate Kid movie was one of those movies that everything aligned and came together in one movie
Elisabeth Shue...man I had a crush on her from 1984 when I was too young to even understand it, to ...well...still in 2022.
Oh I had a crush and knew what I wanted to do. lol but I was 17.
Who watches Cobra Kai that hasn’t seen the movies? At least she gets to rewatch it with y’all. And actually get the show.
I like how Jeneva was really getting into it throughout the movie as the story progressed. Yes she may have been a virgin to the Karate Kid franchise but hey better late than never. Welcome to the Karate Kid fan base!
Elizabeth Shue also was nominated for best actress for "Leaving Las Vegas".
You guys should react to Click with Adam Sandler. Love your reactions too.
Ralph Macchio (Daniel) he was 23 years in this movie
You guys should definitely do Karate Kid 2 and 3, and The Next Karate Kid (the one with Hillary Swank) before season 5 of Cobra Kai.
Kk3 ahsaaaa
Yeah... What? These guys are watching cobra kai without watching the original films? How stupid is that?
@@blondymonk1535 blasphemy
Ralph Macchio was 23 when this film was released and was about 21- 22 during actual filming.
"To me it looks like the whole world turned blonde." In a scene where virtually everyone is dark-haired.
Yeah, she defintiley knows what she's doing with those feet.
Can't blame her she is too cute
Auditioning for a Quentin Tarantino film?
Watch "Bloodsport" with a young Jean-Claude Van Damme or "No Retreat, No Surrender" to see him in his first major role.
This movie is epic! I absolutely loved you guys reaction! 🥋👍🏽
Now on to part 2!

Thanks for the response 🤙🏽
@PARiTY
Only the original trilogy karate kid movies and the Hilary swank karate kid movie are considered canon by the writers of Cobra Kai
pet Nip refers to a derogatory term for the Japanese as Japan is also known as Nippon.
“the kid has a pet nip”
“nip” is a slur used to refer to Japanese
Such precious feet make it difficult to concentrate in the reaction.😈😅
Nip comes from Nippon, an old word for Japan.

Drunk Miyagi is SO important to the narrative. Sad it wasn't included 😞
@@Deepthoughtsabound Yes and yes very.
I always thought the guy with the beer bottles said "kids got a fat lip" not "fat nip" my bad

Elisabeth Shue acted in Back to the Future Parts 2 & 3. She replaced the original actress (sorry I forgot her name). Great reaction, you guys. :)

If you're looking for another movie with Ralph Macchio, along with an amazing whose who cast, try The Outsiders.
daniel san keep myagi up at night with banging on wall.. myagi make daniel san do work for him so both rest at night

Can you post these videos as audio only on audea? I would really appreciate just the audio. Love your stuff btw, keep pushing out content!
There is four of the movies and there about to go on season five of Cobra Kai which is the tv show.

In the tv show Cobra Kai I like Johnny better than Daniel where as in the movie I wanted Johnny to get his but kicked.

Can u do the retrospective where they say Daniel is the real bully
