In this clip, Andre Rison starts out by speaking 2Pac's death, and he revealed that it hit him hard, adding that he cried when he got the news. When asked about what he would be doing today, Andre thinks 2Pac would've been making serious money in the entertainment industry. During the conversation, Andre also addressed Left Eye calling 2Pac her "soulmate," and he spoke about signing to the Browns for a record $17 million in 1994, which he laughed at and added that players are signing deals worth hundreds of millions today.

alot people dont understand that what separated pac from other legends that died. not too many people can do it, but he bonded well with people from all walks of life. people who would not even hang around each other. we have this tendency to compare pac rap to other rap legends. but his legacy was supplemented on who he was one on one with people as well as his music. the same can be said about malcolm x and ali. those guys were so much more bigger then their profession. pac had flaws just like anyone else and he said some dumb things in his younger days like most rappers. but people could see the maturity in him and what he could have become. im not even the biggest tupac fan. i believe there are alot of rappers better then him lyrically, and i very seldom listen to him these days. but i was also sad when he passed away and can acknowledge he had charisma on and off camera despite his ignorant moments which comes with young age.

I'm a big Pac fan, but people need to be realistic about Tupac. Had Tupac lived after being shot in Las Vegas, he would be back in prison for getting into that fight with Orlando Anderson at the MGM. Being shot and nearly dying is a traumatic event, Pac was already traumatized by the shooting in New York, said he had PTSD from it. Imagine how he would feel after the Las Vegas shooting when he lost a lung. In fact, Shock G said that when Pac was taken out of the medicine induced coma and the doctors told him that they had to remove his lung, Shock G said he eyes and facial expressions looked like he gave up and lost the will to live. Pac was also broke at the time. So imagine a broke Tupac with one lung (Beanie Sigel ain't rapping too well with one lung) having to go back to prison for breaking parole and traumatized after being shot a second time. Plus he would be humiliated by the media for talking reckless (about Biggie, Nas, Jr. Mafia, Mobb Deep, Chino XL, Jay-Z) and now being in prison to serve out his entire sentence. His spirit wouldn't be the same. Suge can't hire an army of lawyers to fight for Pac, because Suge had to go to jail for breaking his own parole by fighting. Interscope probably wouldn't touch. Hollywood definitely wouldn't fuck with Pac anymore because he is a liability. Think of all those drug addicted or alcoholic white actors, Hollywood don't fuck with them once they become unprofessional. But a black rapper who has had two fatal attempts on his life, that's who they want on set and their insurance company to cover him. The insurance companies definitely wouldn't cover Pac because of his shootings. Robert Downey Jr. wouldn't get covered after he beat his addiction, Mel Gibson to pay for his insurance. Before Pac died one of his last interviews he said that he wanted to move away from rap and focus more on acting. Had he survived, he would be fucked in both industries. Therefore I can't a future where had he lived, he would be a billionaire dominating both music and movies plus being a political figure.
Pac would be in such a bad place, would he want to continue being a celebrity? Would he become a born again Christian? Would become a Muslim? All this shit about Tupac becoming rap's first billionaire and a political force is not realistic. Remember, we have to deal with the ramifications of what would have happened if he survived the Las Vegas shooting, not some alternate universe Tupac where everything lined up for him. Honestly I blame Lisa's family and the media for the way they have tarnished that girl's legacy. The Tupac thing wasn't told correctly and there has been so much left out.
