Actor Johnny Depp is suing ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million for defamation in connection with Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed, although Heard’s article did not specifically name Depp. Amber Heard is counter-suing Depp for $100 million.

Been to court a couple of times and I’ve NEVER seen a lawyer say “I’ll take you answer as a yes” or “I’ll take that as a no” WITHOUT the witness actually saying yes or no. Also is it me or does this judge seem to allow a lot of thing from the defense to go through but not the plaintiff

He clearly explained WHY he´s suing two years after the divorce: they made an agreement including non disclosure, she broke it, so now he found himself free of fighting it. He´s also suing his old lawers, which gave him a terrible advise not guarding his own sake / interests (and maybe because they´d previously agreed with his ex to divide the 7M... wich also makes her anger understandable once the money went to the charity she was saying all over the media she donated to when they were supposed to be divided between Johnny´s lawers and herself...). Why did this judge allow Amber’s team to read a crazy amount of questions from an article? That wasn’t considered hearsay but she was quick to dismiss anything Johnny had to say as hearsay. I’m floored by this!

I find it so incredible that his tone and demeanour during the court proceedings is exactly the same as the voice recordings during their arguments. Surely this absolutely proves to any doubters that he just didn’t engage and allow her to rile him. His tone of voice here is the same soothing calm tone. She on the other hand in the recordings come across as deranged and desperately trying to make him loose his temper. Any other man would probably have snapped but he was conditioned from such an early age to not engage and to walk away. His leaving the room seems to have been his biggest ‘crime’ as far as she was concerned and he wouldn’t react the way she wanted by loosing his cool

These are the things my mother would do to me -- the things she said were vile, and disgusting - and somehow, she'd be able to charm the pants off of everyone else into thinking I deserved it, or somehow it was out of context.
I recorded our conversation once, but she found the tape and beat me HARD for it. Never again did I try to save myself or get out of that situation, because the beating was real. She even locked me in a closet for a weekend.

It's obvious that JD is a very humble, private and submissive kind of personality and introverted so this must've been an absolute nightmare for him having to do this so publicly. With that being said, he was adamant on getting the truth out. He even said it didn't matter what the outcome of this trial would be and his only goal was to get the facts out.
