    I want like maybe an animated Star Wars movie inspired by both the spider-verse films and the second puss in boots and an animated series taking place after the original trilogy that’s action packed and heartwarming.

    I think my ideal would be 1 animated show, 1 live action show, and 1 movie a year with a floating spot for a smaller project like Tales of the Jedi/Empire or a live action mini-series (think 3-4 episodes instead of a "full" season). Ultimately though I just want quality storytelling. Give me heroes to root for, villians to hate, and do it in a concise fashion whatever the format.

    Disney can make all the movies Disney wants, but if they’re shit like the sequel trilogy , The Acolyte (which I was super excited about and then more disappointed than a fat kid dropping his last scoop of ice cream before boot camp) they’re gonna hear about it.

    • @PhantomHarley
      @PhantomHarley 17 часов назад +3

      The Sequels were micromanaged to death because fans wouldn’t stop whining about every decision made. Acolyte was mediocre at worst and harmless at best, but fans threw a bitchy tantrum because the long finished culture war convinced them they were all victims. So long as fans keep making a spectacle of themselves whenever they feel threatened by change, the franchise will never try new things and will continue to stagnate.

    • @andrewlindsay3900
      @andrewlindsay3900 16 часов назад +1

      @@PhantomHarley the sequels were micromanaged to death because George wasn’t at the helm, nor was anyone familiar with Star Wars. The sequels were done because it’s well known that Star Wars makes people famous, but they treated it like a cheap whore, and they remade the original trilogy. Just like the rest of Hollywood, they picked a movie and remade it. That’s all. They puked up a new spin for it, and laid a giant shit in the mouthes of real Star Wars fan. There is no change to be threatened by there. As far as the Acolyte goes, they took a really cool concept and setting and again laid a giant shit in the mouthes of real Star Wars fans.

    • @PhantomHarley
      @PhantomHarley 15 часов назад +1

      @@andrewlindsay3900 Star Wars fans, like most nerds, are bullies who think themselves underdogs. They kick and scream whenever something is imperfect, and literally dogpile on actors and writers on social media until they leave, but the moment someone calls them out they wilt and act as if the artists aren't being professional enough. Culture spent 15 years watching SW fans whine about the prequels, so Force Awakens gave them "classic" SW, only for them to bitch and cry that it wasn't different enough. Then the next year they all gooned over Rogue One, which was basically just a sizzle reel of New Hope. The year after that, Last Jedi actually does some heavy lifting to take things in a new direction, and fans went ballistic because they were all still pissed off about feminism or whatever. Star Wars fans are the most indecisive, backwards, and insular fandom out there and everything that happens in the franchise which they don't like can be traced back to choices made in efforts to please them.

  • @issacfuerte

    Would've been much better if the Mandalorian just stayed a show. If we had gotten a new season every fall since it came out in 2019, we'd be on season 6 by now. It was so perfect as a show, didn't need to be an extreme galactic adventure, just a Mandalorian finding adventures throughout the galaxy. Instead we just got an abundance of mediocre shows that just made star wars bloated and less exciting, and the Mandalorian just kinda shriveled away.

    • @sebastianmoore4494
      @sebastianmoore4494 21 час назад +5

      Idk about all that, I agree there should be more animation but thats as far as I would go on that take. Im sure most fans would agree that there should be more live action projects(not in terms of quantity) as long as they are a well thought out story. Quality and consistency over quantity. But I would love more genres of animation with a range of stories that are connected and disconnected from the main movies. So more Visions or maybe a What If? Type project that I thought was being talked about but I don’t remember the general consensus of what fans thought about that.

  • @PhantomHarley
    @PhantomHarley 17 часов назад +1

    For Star Wars to feel special again it has to go away for a while, but the fandom is too content hungry and desperate to go out on more of a high note than Rise of Skywalker, so we keep coming back to the glut of content in hopes of it feeling fresh again. It won’t. The last time Star Wars felt genuinely fresh and exciting was the period between the lead up to Force Awakens and release of Last Jedi. But then it all became too cluttered and toxic. Normal audiences tuned out, fans started infighting and embarrassing themselves, and the brief respite of The Mandalorian was eventually sullied by the same greedy practices of demanding more and more.

    • @darkspark5854
      @darkspark5854 21 час назад +4

      It’s hard to use that word because it’s usually taken out of proportion.
      Star Wars has definitely walked the “woke path”. From the Mary Sue writing of the sequel trilogy to the writing of a lot of female characters in general but it’s mainly just been forced feminism. Not much else. The real problem has been inconsistent and sloppy writing in general. Once in a while we get something great but then we’ll get something really bad.
      Kathleen has openly admitted that she’s a hardcore feminist and she’s been forcing her message since she took over. What makes it worse is she seems more focused on her agenda than making money and the results show. But removing her won’t Immediately fix everything.
