- Nebraska smacked Colorado in the first half and then held it together in the second half. Husker247 breaks things down for a postgame podcast on how the Huskers played against the visiting Buffs.
Things start on defense and how the defensive line controlled the game, why John Bullock is playing great football and more thoughts on the Blackshirts.
Then what happened in the second half, why it might’ve been the perfect kind of game for Matt Rhule and his staff to keep the team pushing and more.
Finally what to make of special teams and thoughts from message board users on Nebraska’s win over Colorado.
GBR. And calls were rough AF in 2nd half.. proud we played through it
"Y'know, y'know, y'know." Should be a drinking game.
Yall freaked the hell outta me with that dog collar key jangle partway thru
Nebraska doesn't have any experience on how to sit on a lead. That's new territory. They'll figure it out. I agree with Dylan. They were in control in the second half even though it didn't look as pretty as we'd like
The officiating in the 2nd half was so bad it was impossible to get anything going on offense. Multiple huge plays were nullified by phantom calls.
Damn you can't even acknowledge a clear takedown hold? Trashy ass fan
Go big red... refs couldn't save em
Refs had Nebraska and the under
Refs had the under
Come on Mike, if not for the officiating, we most likely would’ve scored a couple times, they kept our offense from getting into any rhythm
D-line was incredible indeed. Last week Vincent Jackson was temporarily hurt, this week it was Jeudy. This made me wonder where #92 Sua Lefotu is? Expected him to be second NT behind Nash, but didn't crack the 3-deep and haven't seen hide nor hair of him this fall. I think we'll need the depth. Where is Sua?
I'd speculate that the coaches want to redshirt him.
Wasn’t he in a car accident last year? Might have thrown a wrench into his development timeline
@@66888NNUTTHOWZE46993 he already redshirted last year
@@hotdangers no, that was #87 Tagaloa
Satterfail is horrible, that 2nd half first series was abysmal.
I don't think Foley is a terribly good special teams coach. I don't think he makes it to next season.
We need a better special teams coach it’s all a joke. That pic6 Tommy Hill had was a thing of beauty! Thank god we don’t play CU ever again. Bye. We knocked them all out. Really can’t write a better script. Those refs tho huh man embarrassing. Could of cost us again.
Ed Foley seems like an awesome dude, but yeah I think I agree.
NU special teams have been mediocre to disasterous since the end of the Pelini era. Give it some time. Alvano has totally lost his confidence. I would sit down with him and his parents and really push for a red shirt.
@@huskerjpg I don’t think kicking at this big a stage is gonna get fixed. Sorry. It’s not for everyone. We have have gave him way too many chances. Has to be fixed. Punt blocks. Poor coverage. If this would of been a close game. Our special teams would of been the reason we lost.
Special Teams is weakest link currently. Need them to tighten things up before conference play.
@@michaelschmidt8968 don’t think it gets better. They have had time to work on it from last year. It will be a problem against big10 teams
