- As social media's impact on children's mental health is being increasingly investigated, teacher Shabaz Ali is using his own distinctive voice to undermine the curated excess people see online.

an influencer giving advice to people? 🤣
I’ve never heard of this person. I’ve never had tiktok.
Yes. We love him in America!!!
They should turn off all social media!
Why m a genz person and m a RUclipsr who likes to do a lot of hilarious stuff
You’re on social media.
Are you sure about that, I've never heard of this person🕵♂️
This guy is amazing! Well deserved my friend ❤
Joeybtoons is another super hilarious social media guy who does amazing videos mocking the crazy on TikTok
This guy is so famous, they knew that if they put his name in the title of the video and in the thumbnail image, everyone would click on this video and break the internet.
Never heard of him.
Not using his name is awkward - they do for other random creators. He’s focusing on excessive consumption that no mention of his name.
@@AskMiko The newscaster says his name in the first 15 seconds of the video, what are you on about
Never heard of him, at all in any way. Judging by the middling views the nearly 3 million followers of CBS Mornings are more interested in him/this subject than the Catholic pope but WAY less than they are the British royal family. Internet remains unbroken.
I've never heard of him either.
I beg your pardon!
Refashioned Hippie does this also in the US on RUclips with the pricey items. I’ll have to look up his videos also.
We need more people using social media to push back on the worst of influencers
He is a waste of my time
"...becuzz you're a povver" so said the man... enough said!
None of these 3 table nerds picked up on how Shabaz Ali pronounces Worcestershire. Ali's version clearly ended in "shir-ee". (Nobody pays attention and then pretends that they do.)
Never heard of him, but he has really nice teeth and sounds like Tan France.
Is about Scattered Skull inanities
I don't have a problem with any content. Some of it is not interesting to me and I see how some could be harmful to children. That's why it's important for parents to have an active role in their children's world so they can teach them values and also teach them about what's real and not real in the social media world. It's not the app that's the problem. It's how the app is used by some people.
I don't think parents can single handedly override the falsity of a lot of content. Parents are susceptible as well -- I've seen so many comments from people tired of their parents sending them AI images thinking they're real. Adults also fall prey to "keeping up with the Joneses" as we called it before SM. And tweens and teenagers are at an age where they need to STOP solely looking to their parents for how the world works. They need to expand their horizons. So why can't content creators provide a bit of antidote and reality check? It's HOW social systems work--fads and trends get lampooned and replaced in every realm of society. Your comment makes it sound like the only kind of content you "have a problem with" is the ones calling out other content. Of course that can be done in a bullying way, but this isn't that. You're a bit hypocritical if you think people should just sit back and not say anything about this glorifying of the uber rich just b/c you personally "don't have a problem" with it. (I've seen people who do this calling out in a really dumb, even dangerous way, too. Either side can be problematic. Like people who say "Don't buy expensive candles, just use a wine glass from the thrift shop!" even though those glasses are not designed to withstand the heating and cooling of candle wax and can literally explode...not to mention the popularizing and destigmatizing of thrifting (even when you can afford not to) has lead to thrift shops raising prices to and even ABOVE retail, effectively shutting out those buyers who genuinely need a heavy second hand discount. That stuff, too, needs calling out. But it's just how the system works.)
And host of the Doctor Who official BBC podcast
From the title, I was hoping this was going to be a much different story.
Absolutely love his videos! I’m a povvo for sure! ❤😂
I’ve seen a couple of his videos
If all social media platforms went down for a few months then there would be real change.
However, content creators would not make money and the brands would not make money, so it’s all about money.
OH HATERS GONNA LIVE HIM 😂❤
Critics capitalism...qlso benefits from iy
lol too late....been on here 30 years....
I guess anyone can get press now a days……& the way he wears his cap with his quaff popped out is so cringe 😂

When does he show up with his boyfriend? LoL 😂
Who wear a hat like that? It's falling off the back of his head!? This guy doesn't seem much more authentic than your average tripe-tuber.

Isn't it ironic, don't ya think
