You absolutely have to do a master class for the F-15E when it comes out, your videos have the perfect structure to learn progressively, and setup in a way to keep watching by leaving out cool but not technically needed details, and it makes it easier to learn! Life time sub earned for sure
Oh wow thank you so much! Such kind words! Thank you! That's exactly my plan, actually. As soon as the Strike Eagle I'll go all in with videos in it! I'm so happy to hear you like my videos! Are you in my Discord?
@@MamboDCS so I have a question. Sometimes when I drop the bomb , it takes so long for it to get there, I mask the pod. I have tried the trick to orbit towards opposite side of the pod. Any suggestions for speed, altitude, dive angle, etc?
If it takes long you probably released from pretty far, which is totally fine if you're in range. You likely need to tighten that orbit so the target point doesn't go behind you. Try turning tighter once you roll onto the right. Use your HMD to have a better awareness of where the target is. You want it at around 45-90 degrees on your right so if you see it sliding backwards, roll a bit more to the right and pull a touch harder. This is further and very deeply explained in my LGB guide so you can check it there or you can also join my Discord and we could work on it one-on-one :) I hope this helps!
Another great tutorial. I am just starting out on thr Viper. And for the first time actually trying A2G in any aircraft. Thanks for clearly explaining the procedure. It is literally & figuratively a blast. And the F-16 is a beast.
Oh man I know! In some cuts I had it set to III and some I forgot to move it from the default I. You're definitely correct tho, should've paid closer attention!
Great video and thanks for the tutorial, just to clarify though, the AD/BA feature controls how long the bomb arms itself after released from the jet, not how long it takes to explode after hitting the target. Cheers.
Thank you! But I must correct you back 😅 I thought so too but after testing it tens of times, it's definitely a fuze delay, even though Wag's video said it was an "arming after release" delay :)
Yup, I was pretty surprised when I found out he was wrong hahaha But I can assure you everything I showed in this video I tested and researched a lot before sharing anything wrong :)
Just wondering, if we can just use the standard 1688 laser code for single operations? Also, I was wondering, why you don't use the Cat 1 or Cat 2 switch?. It basically limits g-forces on the aircraft when super heavy with bombs, so we don't rip the wings off. Love your videos, thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for watching! If you're flying alone then you can definitely use the standard 1688 code but if you're not flying alone and someone else lases with the 1688 code in your area then your bomb can end up going for their target instead. Note that it can also happen with AI. That happened to me before and it confused the hell out of me until I figured that's why my bombs were missing LOL. As for the CAT I\CAT III switch, I definitely missed it in this video haha. Nowadays I'm better at not forgetting to put it into the appropriate mode :) I'll just mention that it's not a G-limiter, it only slows your pitch and roll rates and limits your max allowable AOA. It is not a G-limiter though, you can still pull 9Gs if you really try hahaha!
@@MamboDCS Hey thanks for your comments, I really appreciate it. About the CAT switches, I realize what they are for, just couldn't remember there actual terminology in the moment. G-force limiter was as close as my memory served me haha. Thanks for all your videos, super easy to understand!
Great lessons. I'd love to watch one about cbu-97's. I hate those ******ers. They never release when they should, and I just simply cannot use them in CCRP. Not like the 105's which are a piece of cake to use... :(
So I started using the 24 today and noticed that even though I have my weapon set to single release and the qty to 1, when I actually hit the weapon release button, both my 24s drop. Is this a bug or am I just doing something wrong?
Sounds like a bug. I'll try to test it when I can and let you know how it goes :) Just definitely make sure you're set to single and 1 RP (Release Pulse). Also make sure you aren't accidentally clicking the weapon release twice or anything like that.
@@MamboDCS Yeah I just tried it again. Single release, RP 1, and I tapped my weapon release once. Also tried it while holding the weapons release. Both my GBU-24s dropped. I didn't see anyone report anything on the DCS forums so I wasn't sure if I'm being very incompetent or if something's actually bugged or if my stick is faulty.
Question : Is is proper procedure to Lase target once GBU is off the rack? I believe at least for GBU 12 and 10s you wait until 8-12 seconds until impact to start lasing. So is the GBU 24 different?
While I don't have the USAF official proper procedure, yes, the GBU-24 does require a much longer lase. For the 10 and 12 I also start lasing at around 15 seconds TTI but with the 24, just to be safe, I do it very shortly after dropping the bomb. It is not just my way of doing it, I know for a fact that the 24 requires a longer lase :)
@@MamboDCS that's the only thing I found kind of missing in your video. You could have mentioned the option of automatic laser timing and why you chose to trigger manually right after release. The thoughts behind why you did something as shown can provide huge assistance for new guys who are still in the process to build up a mindset of their own to then make decisions how to use these tools in flight.
I didn't mention auto lasing because it was yet to be to the DCS F-16 at the time. Of course now it is available, and I made a video about it separately :) ruclips.net/video/knl6NFfp3QU/видео.html
For regular LGBs yeah, that's the case. But the Paveway III needs a lot more time. I don't know the specific time, unfortunately, but better safe than sorry ;) Thank you for watching and the feedback ❤️
@@PlasticTonkaToy Sorry, I missed the post. So, for PW3s, it's simple. Lase from release until impact. For PW2s, I can explain but since it's fairly complex, I will only do so if you want me to.
@@agostonbazmajer1100 I already know the jist, I just didn't know that it mattered based on the munitions. I've always just waited till the last 12 seconds before lase for accuracy.
I agree, that's what it's supposed to be, but in DCS AD is the fuze delay. It confused me too, but I've tested it thoroughly before making this video and it is indeed the fuze delay time. You can test it for yourself too :)
