I have the laowa It’s good. I just feel like it’s a little wider than I want. For real estate. Now I see a 15 but only for the Nikon Z. I have a Z but I actually prefer F Mount. You did a great review! Keep up the good work please!
Great video mate, keep up the good work. I use the manual version of the Samyang and have pretty much the same conclusion as you. Fantastic for the price, but there are better performing ultra-wides if you up the budget.
Wishlist content: Are you getting the a7siii ? Would love to see how a lens like this or 16-35 f4 OSS will perform on a gimbal + gyro stabilized (forest/city walk-around). Should result in some amazingly smooth footage.
Oma Ghomrawi forgot to mention, the reason I asked about A7siii is because it’s the only one right now that I know of that can do 4k60 and has gyro data. It’s still a bit too big of setup for what I need, the never ending wait for the next thing continues, something like A6600 with 4k60+gyro data
Oma Ghomrawi I would like an apsc or micro 4/3 that can deliver 4k60 GoPro hypersmooth level of smooth snd floaty video. Right now the only choice seems to be A7siii as it has gyro data as well.
Yeah hard to beat the corner sharpness of laowa uwa's on sony cameras, I haven't shot anything except voightlanders that come close. They really just way outperform for the price on uwa's. Also the lens profiles for laowa's are under venus.
you compared lenses with the different apertures, it's not fair, especially during min focus distance and chromatic abr. test. it seems as if samyang is not sharp.
Your video comparison is useless, first mistake is you're comparing a Samyang lens which costs around £359 to a Laowa lens which costs around £899. That's like comparing to cars with one costing nearly three times as much as the other it's pointless. Second mistake you made was you the pictures you took aren;t the same pictures with both lenses and that makes the photo comparisons useless. If you're going to do comparison photos photograph the same object with both cameras.

Just the comparison I was looking for.. Thank you!
Thank you for your video! Where did you get the filter holder for the Laowa? I check on there web site but they don't have it!!!
Is there a way to use a circular filter on the laowa 12mm?
The Laowa Lens belongs to my brother. He uses NiSi 95mm Ti Enhanced Circular Polarizer Filter geni.us/2b5TJDJ
He's happy with it
@@OmaGhomrawi thanks, but he use that filter with a particular filter holder? Because on the laowa website seems doesn't exist this filter
holder
@@airfilm_it I mentioned in the video that I used the following filter adapter ring: geni.us/a0cpX
Using this adapter, you can mount any 95mm filter
@@airfilm_it there are 2 filter holders available from 70 bucks

Brilliant review thanks!
Do you still have the Laowa lens? Planning to sell? 😅😅
hh, This lens is for my brother
Excellent review! It helped enormously in making my decision . Investing in Laowa! Thank you for answering virtually all my questions.

Hey! I personally need a camera tgat can do both videos and photography
A7s3 is not the camera I am looking for

It depends why you need the camera for. A7S is not my thing

Was easy to tell the Laowa was A, the straight lines. The Samyang has some curves to it & is slightly sharper.
Great video👍.
A: samyang B: laowa
