    My how I love your wit. Kept me engaged with your instructions. I learned 3 things at the very beginning of your video. I am fairly new to crochet and fell in love with mosaics recently and watching how you crochet has taught me a few things. Thank you so much!

    This is the best method for hiding tails - I have tried other methods, including carrying the yarn, but this is the overall BEST. All of the tips shown here are GREAT!

    Yes i knew their had to be a trick to that. This is why I enjoy youtube. I hate weaving in the loose ends and you want your work to stay together. Thank you for this. Im going to try this on my next dishcloth. I am trying to make a nice finished dishcloth for my mom. She loves crocheted dishcloth and I too am slow right now to crochet. I am enjoying the practice though I would like to work my way up to a blanket.

      The end is what i dreaded about overlay mosaic because on EVERYTHINGELSE I crochet in trails as i go so like you i knew it had to be possible with this to. I refuse to look at tails while i work on projects. Eye sores

    I love the last tip you show, starting at 16:30 - how to secure the tail being carried, by pulling the tail through a regular stitch along with the working yarn - I've never seen that done before! It makes perfect sense, because otherwise, the tail is not very secure, even though it's being carried behind the row, it could be pulled out very easily, but not if it's secured with your method. THANK YOU!

    So beautiful and great tips. Question...when you turn for a double crochet..do you chain up? I was taught to only chain 2 but for some reason everybody teaches chaining 3 up. Thank you

    • @lpcookie1
      @lpcookie1 4 года назад +2

      For dc, if the chains count as a the 1st stitch in the row, it's 3 chains, if not, it's 2 chains. I think 2 chains with a dc for the 1st stitch looks better, as the edges look more tidy and you don't see the gap from using just a chain.
