You should try using sesame oil and some scallions. It makes it taste like the fried rice from the Chinese restaurant

When cooking my fried rice, I mostly grind all my spices ; garlic, greenspices, white pepper, pepper, onion, curry powder, and boil it w the chicken then use the chicken stock to cook the rice
