A 1986 ABC News report on the spike in brutal anti-gay and anti-bi violence, hatred, and discrimination, much of it against queer men, in the early years of the AIDS epidemic. The report rightly points out that bigots were using the outbreak as a pretext to justify prejudices they had already harbored for years.
This is the beginning of that 15-minute segment, and ends before the section showing photos of injuries sustained in one such attack.
