My story didn't end this,as a matter of fact I stood by him when everyone said I should leave him because we had dated for 6yrs and he wasn't financially ready to pay my dowry,I stood by him and turned deaf ears to all the advice given to me by my family.
We finally got married and he changed to a different person,he will stay out for days without him telling me his where about, cheating became his food, zero respect and commitment,see finish entered,he didn't even value me again,like I don't understand after all the sacrifices he changed..

I actually love the story cause it has alot of lessons. First being with a man for four years and not pushing him to be the best of himself it's a failure. As a mature lady you should know that a man looks at his finances before taking the marital step. He thinks of being able to provide for his intended family. Infact if I should talk of all the lessons here, the will not be enough space
Who told the Nzes how I got my husband to overcome his fears of marriage. His major fear was where would I marry you to? because he had that time shared a flat with his friends. This is so relatable 😊
I don’t blame Blessing for leaving him regardless of whoever she left him for. He didn’t make any moves to get a new job or search. It was just blame game. I’m not done with the movie but I just had to comment. It’s always good for men to be proactive if he didn’t meet Yemi’s friend what would have been his fate?
I have not seen this guy (Okey Jude) often starring in a movie, however he played his role perfectly, very entertaining and talented ❤

Nah I shouted and put my hands on my head when Blessing’s “toaster” was actually Imoh’s boss… like whyyyyyyyyyyyy😢😢😢 this life no balance! Very good story! For me , the key takeaway is that ; our steps and decisions need to be ordered by God. Be a person that is led by Holy Spirit.

The only blame I would blame Blessings is that she did not end the relationship before starting a new on. But waiting for 5 years the relationship could have gone either way, the man could change also. Just be honest if the relationship is not going the way you want it to make a clean break and leave. The cousin did not force her to do anything she had a choice and she chose to make the decision that she did. It is just unfortunate that it ended the way how it did.

Really a sad movie though. People do really come into our lives for a reason. That doesn't mean they have to be there forever. They serve their purposes, fulfill them, then move on and life goes on. Really educational.. Love it❤

I felt bad for Blessing, I was hoping he forgives her,why would his breakthrough come after she left, she didn't handle the breakup well but getting frustrated and walking away wasn't entirely her fault abeg. The babe tried o,4 years of dating, not as students o ha I no too blame her but she for handle am better. Dera was just waiting in the corner hahaha. It's OK nice movie.

Had an experience with pregnancy, I couldn't believe just friends not even his family had a say and worse none could communicate directly to me but rather reach out to strangers around me for decisions to make on me who is pregnant, then I realised they had zero boundaries and they make it very obvious

Do you see the double standard in these movies. If it had been the other way around, the cheating party would have been taken back like nothing happened. He would have said he was sorry on his knees, cried and she would have taken him back but not so when the woman is the offender. I saw one movie where the man brought another woman into their matrimonial home and the wife still took him back. I think when similar plots happen, I’ll just scroll to the end and save myself some time.

When I saw the advert on Instagram, I was happy, thinking it wasn't going to be like others, hoped for a happy ending between Imoh and Blessing.
Also, Blessing wouldn't have lost out completely, she wasn't a bad person.
As siblings who are old money and who want to build on old money, living in harmony is key as most times spouses to siblings are the ones who bring discord as they have nothing to lose.

Blessing actually tried, the guy had so many baggages. It's just quiet unfortunate that she ended up with bassey.
Believe me she did her best but the guy on the other hand didn't do enough. So ending the movie this way is quite not right. She actually deserved better

Wanting the best for ourselves is very good, infact don't settle for less, because of love it won't be enough, but then sometimes where we are,is sometimes better than where we wish to be. I expected her to push him to do more, seeing that they love each other so much, pushing him to get a better job, he won't even argue because he won't want to lose her, so he will accept, but cheating on him was not nice and the same thing she avoided not breaking up him, now happened in a more painful way, that kind of break up is so disheartening 😢😢.
I expected her to push the guy to find a better job, but I guess she was too comfortable until yemi stepped in and she realized she wanted more, but went about it the wrong way,😢. I mean who collects 80k for 4years and still shoulders that kind of responsibilities, I dey crase.
Pushing him to do better would have been the best, and if he doesn't want then you can break up jejely other than two timing..
Sisters like yemi, should be studied if not you make mistakes listening to them and when it becomes tough, they will run away. 😔

The Job wasn't worth it and he was looking for a better one so there is no need bringing his girlfriend to something that remained him of his not progressing... He was just patching there because of his family issues at the time...

Omo…I like the Nze’s movie ooo…but this one no follow…and again it happens though…this story line is very similar….something like this happened to me….was dating a guy in school…he was earning 15k….each time I asked what his future plan is he would tell me he has to finish school…then masters and take plenty professional course bfr he marries me….omo dat sounded like a clause…later I started acting up…am human na….guess what when I broke up with this guy he got married two after and he got a good job….omo me sef no come balance…but the truth is don’t be discouraged as a woman…once a man is dating u and doesn’t fill u or put u in his plans…you allowed to leave …yes u valid…trust me life got plans for u…u would get another chance trust me…omo long story short me I even thank God I didn’t marry him coz am in a better place now

Beautiful story line to line from others mistakes
I do not feel bad for Blessing. However, I don't like the lesson the story portrayed. This is just a Nigerian version of Acrimony. Yemi, although she was rude, she gave her good advice to end the relationship. If I have a friend or family member in such a similar relationship, and the guy isn't ready to improve his finances, I'll tell them the same thing, too. I won't be too forceful or rude like Yemi, but I'll tell her the same thing. Like when Blessing said if we get married in the future, and Imoh said married? It felt like he wasn't even seeing marriage. Blessing was the one who came up with the money saving idea. She was the one that went to check on the registry requirements. Imoh was even trying to push the date on the pretext of her getting a church wedding. It is all what, just a ploy to waste her time. He didn't sound like he actually saw them marrying even in the future. Then, his responsibilities are too much for his money. You would expect him to work actively at getting a better job, but nothing. He didn't start applying until after Blessing broke up with him. It was a condition that made him put a move on. In fact, he has been blessed with women helping him. If Dera didn't have connections or money of her own, she wouldn't be with him. If she did, they'll have the same story all over again.
The only reason why I don't pity Blessing was her calling Dera "nothing of importance." Dera was never her problem, so why would she act like that to her? Why not just say she is Yemi's friend.
I would have preferred the movie to show Imoh working hard to change his situation before Blessing cheated (I don't like that she did this, especially seeing how Bassey treated him), and especially after he lost his job. It should have been him pulling himself up and not just a lady providing him succour again. Also, it would have been better if he and Dera hadn't dated even if he got a job through her. Thirdly, Blessing should have come to the realisation that herself is enough and she would get someone better later. As a lady, I'm tired of the story of being patient blah blah blah. It doesn't always work out like this. In fact, this is unrealistic. More often than not, things do not get better. I don't know if it was scripting issues, but the guy portrayed didn't seem like he was serious. I've been there and done that. Realistically, nothing would have gotten better unless it was the girl who got a better job. The guy was even giving the vibe of breaking up with her if things get better. It was after she started cheating that we saw that he truly loved her, though he is a time waster due to his condition.
I was expecting Blessing to ask Yemi to ask Dera to give her or Imoh a better job or help them somehow. Until she asked to be set up with husbands. Now, how is it that Ifeanyi would set his fiancé's cousin up with someone he knows is a terrible guy who is only looking for a plaything? Also, how come Blessing didn't know her boyfriend's office's name after 4 years? So unrealistic. I wasn't really surprised that Yemi didn't help at the end. You would see that she was only selfish and only wanted her cousin to follow her way. But still, she no try.
There was also a timeline inconsistency in the beginning, but I've forgotten now. Finally, how many weeks was Blessing's leave? It was like she was on leave for almost all of the movie, which spanned months. This leads me to this, how come no one changed their hair all through?
I like the epilepsy part. Although I think the pillow wasn't needed as her head was already on a soft "pillow-like" chair. I like that there was no foam, and he knew to put her in the recovery position.

In Nigeria many people address their boss as Sir/madam, so unless you roll in that circle you won’t really know. But I’m that person while I worked in Nigeria my loved ones knew my colleagues for me 1st thing is the security imperative etc.
Everything about this Movie is very relatable! It LIFE as we see it on a daily basis. And the way things turn out mostly for many who do not have a mind of their own.
You see those who are always nosey and pushy , wanting to direct and " help" you especially when its uncalled for and for things that are supposed to be personal, one needs to be weary of them; because most if not all the time::: When push comes to shove and the chips are down, theyd leave you to face the music they helped to create , all by yourself.
Imagine Yemi's words to blessing after things went awry??? Who wouod have thought she'd say such to her.

She had her own Family, faced it and didnt want Blessing anywhere close by.
Yet, she was the one at the helm of affairs initially.
We are only but human::: We have no idea what anyone's Future ( immediate or down the road) holds. No one knows tomorrow!! Being of humble roots is NOT a CRIME.
Poverty is not by choice but by situations beyond most people's control. You CANNOT WRITE SOMEONE OFF JUST BECAUSE OF THEIR PRESENT CIRCUMSTANCES( being Poor )!!!! Things could change in the twinkling of an eye, as they did for Imo!
May we not lose sight of the Diamonds we have, while pursuing mere shiny stones !!
