I played against him in high school and with him in AAU, we use to practice together as well. Definitely a chill humble funny dude. Always been that way and I’m happy the fame never changed him. Once I seen him play I knew he was going to the league lol. This was 10th grade I believe

Never made it to the nba but played ball from 7-24.
One thing I can confirm is creativity is key, and one moment I’ll never forget is during allstar weekend, when Kyrie did the fake behind the back in and out. I use to do that move growing up and to see him do it that day was crazy bc I was legit the only person before that to have done that move, as far as I witnessed, Was pretty cool.

To be fair to the old eras like 95% of the stuff he does is against the rules.
Carrying was extremely strict to the point where you couldnt even have your hand on the side, thats why you see footage from the 60s with that goofy dribbling cause they're forced to always have their hands at the very top of the ball.
They also called a lot more offensive fouls back then so throwing your weight around too much would get you a call, thats why Wilt looked so gentle in terms of his playstyle even though he could easily overpower the majority of the league.
Rules impact the game drastically more than skill gaps thats why Jokić, Dončič and Giannis all said Euroleague is harder to score in.

Kai exactly right in everything he just said. When Coaching 5Th/6Th Grade this drill is a great way to spot the youth that are putting in the extra time and expose the players who need work. You can decipher quite a bit by watching a youth dribble the length of the court.
Western Oregon University I dribbled through the cones like I was part Kyrie and Isaiah Thomas. I turn around and the kids look frightened to death and the instructor had to stop the class and address the student by telling them that Kevin is a Real Player and Puts in the time.
