    I was introduced to her through Sesame Street. She was one of my favorites. I never forgot her calm demeanor and amazing voice.

    My mom looks like her and I look like my mother my mom was so young just like her Lena Horne is one of my favourite black actress I love her music and films I love you Lena you are the best ❤❤❤

    Thanks for her story. I remember Fred Sanford loved the Horn as he called her. And when Fred got kissed by her he could not believe it. Sorry but that is where i heard of her.

    Is she mixed? because she's very light toned for someone who's breaking boundaries for being black.

      She’s Afro-Latino American. Her father was Black and her mother was Cuban. But a lot of people especially at the time refuse to use the term “ALA” and just label and call the people who are “ALA” Black.
