Tell Me Why is the latest narrative adventure game from DONTNOD Entertainment, the studio behind the beloved franchise, Life is Strange. After ten years apart, twins Tyler and Alyson reunite to sell their childhood home. They soon realize their past is not what they remember. In this intimate mystery, reunited twins Tyler and Alyson Ronan use their supernatural bond to unravel the memories of their loving but troubled childhood. I feel Tyler’s memories are almost always hostile as a reflection of his anger. I feel Alysons memories are realistically the way most of it happened. I think Tyler’s is biased towards whoever he’s mad with which is Eddie/Mary Anne. Alyson is a mutual perspective. Just something I took from this.
Yeah, I agree... I also feel like MK is choosing the most aggressive responses when he is in control of Tyler, but idk if that was intentional.
Kweena C The choices regardless if he picks them or not are reflections of what the characters are thinking or feeling. It’s initially going off which emotion you go with. Even if he doesn’t pick the more aggressive responses you know that Tyler has some aggression towards the situation and even in some of the dialogue that doesn’t require a choice to be made you can see Tyler is somewhat selfish and absorbed by his own anger towards the situation it’s almost always biased regardless of the choices you make. Alyson can be biased but to a lesser extent and in favor of
Tyler. That’s just my opinion though.

@@shadywiskerz I agree that Tyler has aggression towards the situation (and rightfully so, considering all the shit he's been through). However, I still think that MK could have made the less aggressive response, such as at 1:35:07 (response to Eddy), 2:20:11 (response to Tessa), and even 2:36:12 (like bruh, is that really how you should reply to Alyson given how traumatized she is?) Both responses to Eddy and Alyson had a symbol thing, and it isn't clear what symbol represents, but I think it's like a relationship meter. Thus, if you make more aggressive responses, then it might cause a bad relationship.

but same tho i always think abt that and tbh my memories are more like his but not cuz of my anger cuz i dont rly get that angry if anything just annoyed more like cuz im sensitive ig (which i dont rly like admitting honestly and i kinda feel uncomfortable saying it now too but whatever) and so when someone says smth in an angry tone i hear it as angry and mean/threatening words, if that makes any sense but idk idk how to explain it butttt yeah i honestly have no fucking idea why im commenting this now im just bored and chillin ig

My theory:
Mary-Ann never told Tyler she was going to kill him. What happened was Allison did something like what Tyler did at the end of this chapter- the whole "you need to own up to your part" thing, but with Mary-Ann's voice. The night she saw Mary-Ann threaten the man in the boat, the same phrase, "I'm going to kill you" rang in her head over and over- when you look back at the dock scene in chapter one it sounds exactly the same. So, when Allison saw Mary-Ann with a gun at the dock again, she involuntarily brought up the memory of that phrase in the twins' "Voice", and that's why they both reported hearing her say it in the police report. If you also go back to the Chapter 1 dock scene, you never see Mary-Ann's face when we hear "I'm going to kill you".
I think Mary-Ann was getting that gun ready because the "Mad Hunter" did come back, as Tyler saw that night. She was going to make good on her threat. Tyler walked in as she was preparing for this, and probably ran after him to protect him from the "Mad Hunter" since he was already out there.

@DoomSlayer Sexuality and gender are two different things. While Tyler isn't fully transitioned (as he mentioned still wanting top surgery, I can only assume he hasn't had bottom surgery yet), he is still a man, which checks the boxes for a gay man to feel attracted to. Michael could also be fluid/pan sexual, it's never really defined! 🤷♂️

I will say what I really like about this game/story and what the developers are doing here is they've opened up the conversation about these kinds of topics that maybe people haven't even thought about or understood before.

edit: okay so some people are confused, this is my personal opinion, I think they're cute together. As a panromantic person, it's a great example of a real gay relationship, it's not forced. To 216 Dwill, choosing to make 2 fictional characters be in a romantic relationship does not make you gay. To Lou Ann I never said it was homophobic, though it doesn't mean you can't be homophobic and choose for them not to get together. To Boys Teacher, again, I'm pan and that's wrong. I get why you may think that's homophobic because you can be while making that choice, but for this, its not an automatic correlation. To Lonewolf Gaming, if you're a trans man, and interested in only men, you are gay. Not straight because you were a girl. If you are a trans woman, and interested in only women, you are gay. Not straight because you were a boy.
I hoped this cleared some things up even though I felt half these replies were unnecessary because I never said such thing.

Okay as much as I dislike what Sam said to Tyler I gotta give him credit. He seems to be really trying to make an effort to be better and learn. Instead of grumbling and continuing to be blind to the issue he went out and tried to better himself.

Can we just take a sec to appreciate that they showed people that older generations (and maybe even showed the old gens themselves) that you can change and start to make a difference? Like yes, Sam if doing the bare minimum but it makes my trans ass kinda happy seeing someone like my grandpa watch what he says, how he says it, and adjust fairly quickly. It really isn’t that hard and takes only a little research to start to understand.

@@skyleefenty yes, yes I will. Anyway, if you played that game till the end, the best ending is literally doing everything bad through the game, nuch to my surprise when I looked it up online. Want the brother together and happy (and with Sean getting some sweet ass)? Do the "wrong" thing nearly ever time - all other endings turn out bad at least for Sean if not both of them.
In the end when Alyson heard her mom talking to their father and saying I'm going to kill you, it's the same words that she heard before stapping her in the back, marry ann didn't say to tylor those words, they were in Alyson head!!

the face animations look like they weren't done yet. the characters just stare at eachother and sometimes blink, it looks off.

hmm. disappointed in your choices for the drawings. for me, Pelican = Tessa, Moose = Eddy and Bear = Sam. I thought the dialogue really helped push that conclusion, plus finding the Pelican in Tessa's office last chapter and the story of Eddy helping with the fish in this chapter

I guess they think that she wasn't actually trying to kill Tyler, since she was trying to understand how to support him. They used to think that Marry-Ann was trying to kill Tyler because he cut his hair (and was looking more boy-ish), and now they discovered that she already knew his struggles.

Hmmm Tyler's is hostile Tone, But the scene is a little bit untruth(Not the actual scene). While alyson is A friendly tone which is untruth but the scene is not(Actual scene). I dunno that's what im thinking. So if you mixed it, Marry ann is angry(tylor's) while the scene playing is from alyson's memory. i think, Alyson can remember a scene but not the way they are talking But Tylor can remember the way they are talking but not the scene.
from this point on im starting to feel like Alyson is the reason the mother is so saddened. she turned Tyler against their mother because she has been snooping around and dragging Tyler along with her. i am getting the feeling that Sam is their father since he is always at the house and has a set of keys to the house...Alyson Owes Tyler she can't renig all because she killed their mother when she was trying to get help for her children from a man who doesn't want to help her unless te kids with him. from the stories it is starting to look like each person within Delos...Tyler is transgender, Mary only wanted to understand her daughter's choices...Judgemental and nosy ass Tessa backstabbing Mary in the back. i agree with Tyler..Tessa ruined their family along with Eddy. Sam is their father everything on that is pointing to him in my book....crap like this must always happen in towns of 300 ppl everybody knows everybody business but when confronted they wanna be quiet when they should have minded their business from the beginning.
