Since you made Seth‘s video about warp entities that aren’t aligned with chaos. I’d like to propose a video idea of my own. About what remains of and references to ‘our’ era and earlier things from earth in the time of 40K. That’s something I’ve been interested in for a long time.

One topic I am wondering about is why do space marines hardly use their gene seed augmentations. They could maximize their combat capabilities, intel gathering, skill development and survivability by using them extensively, but they are hardly covered.

@@PeachDragon_ So did Storm troopers when they weren't fighting Lukes crew, just look at their assault of the Tantive VI, Hoth or the killing of those Jawas which triggered Obiwans response, it was stupid movies like Rogue One (were stormtroopers were getting killed even by blunt weapons in full armor), The show Rebels and that Re-tard Jon Favreau (who made Storm troopers into complete clowns and a nonthreat in the Mandalorian to the point that fight scenes had no suspense whatsoever). This slippery slope really started with Return of the Jedi, the Emperors best legion was supposed to be fighting Wookies on Endor, who are formidable warriors even for Stormtroopers, but Lucas decided to change them to Ewoks to sell toys, which made Stormtroopers look super incompetent (future creators not understanding that the Stormtroopers were missing on purpose on the death star (they put a tracker on the Falcon, wanted them to escape so they can lead the Empire to the rebel base on Yavin VI) and again on Bespin , or that Lucas greed is the reason why the Emperors best legion got beat by stone age teddy bear aliens)
The Cadian Shock troopers were legendary guardsmen who kick so much Chaos Asses that Abbadon couldn’t beat them in a fair fight so he threw the equivalent of the Death Star to their planet.

Blackstone Fortresses are millions of years old Superweapons, there are like, 6 in the whole galaxy, and Abaddon threw one at a planet he was already winning the ground conflict on. SURE BUD, SURE THING.
I’d love to hear more of New Cadia. How reconstruction, training, resettlement, and all the other stuff is going on. Massive Cadian fan and I can only hope my favorite boys go on to continue to kick ass for years to come

Yesterday I realized something, some chapters of space marines will practice the arts as well as music. They will undoubtedly learn music from the various worlds they encounter, and it is most likely one of those worlds had a version of rap music. So somewhere out there at least one chapter of space marines has a battle brother who can legitimately rap.

I'm surprised no one hasn't mentioned it there's another guard regiment that's even more tragic than the Cadians, and that regiment is the Tanith's First and Only or famously called Gaunt's ghosts. Maybe Majorkill could cover this in a future video.

While they are undoubtedly the goats of the Emperor's Sledgehammer my favorite more obscure guard regiment are the Miasman Red Cowels(aka the Fire Skunks). Gotta love a regiment that gives Salamander pyromania a round for it's money

Honestly, I think the New Cadians might not have their culture fade.
I genuinely believe (against all hope, and against the stupidity of GW) that they'll start sending "picnic parties" to the Eye, just to remember and keep themselves sharp.
Those who're good enough to live and return, deserve to be called Cadians. A sort of "Service guarantees citizenship" thing.

When I first started I too thought Space Marines were the majority of the Imperium's military. Then I was shocked to learn that actually they're incredibly rare and most humans in the Imperium will never even see one
That use to be true during the age of the Astartes legions but after the Horus heresy that was no longer the case.
I remember being interested in 40K years ago but all I saw was minis for space marines. No offense to anyone who plays them but they looked lame af to me.
Waited several more years and then finally back in 2015 I started buying admech “Praise the Omnissiah.”
And then Drukhari and only this year have I started to get into the lore and man are the imperial of man loaded with badasses.
Majorkill can we get a mini dedicated to a certain late Elderly Man who never gave up. Maybe he uses a certain xeno melee weapon.
In short, Cadians are the 40k equivalent of the Mandalorians in Star Wars.

well i am also sure i have read, that the Cadian Lasgun and armor patten was "license" to many other regimenst, so not all wearing the generic armor is from Cadia, the insigna should seperete them.

How strong are they how fast they are etc it’s very inconsistent
I’m aware that in extreme cases like Storm giants resilience but say dark angels and ultramarines are pretty much the same physically same with the imperial fist but with the lack of Suspended animation and acidic saliva but still how fast how strong should the average space marine be
The marine traits are inconsistent because their various parameters depend heavily on the geneseed templates of their primarchs. The result is that there isn't really a "basic template" to fall back on, as annoying as that can be, since there will be extreme differences such as the Raven Guard being agile and speedy while the Imperial Fists are slow but sturdy.
You cant know them, because like you said theyre very inconsistent from writer to writer, novel to novel. Named Space Marines are always much more capable than nameless ones. I remember in the Space Wolf Omnibus they were described as being nearly faster than humans can see, only appearing as a blur when they fight. This would put them in like 150-200 km/h category atleast, which is a freaking fast sword swing or dodge.
An average man can punch (aka accelerate their arm) at around 25 km/h at most, with the same size pro boxers up to 40 km/h. Genetics and size matters a lot here of course, and athleticism, but you get the rough idea.
This would give Space Marines inherent advantages in melee combat against everyone except chaos space marines, since none of the other races have melee combatants that are described to be able to move that quickly. Yet nameless marines get slaughtered in melee against the orks for example
What the two above said, but also the lore is canonicly not 100% accurate as stated multiple times by GW. They are filled with propaganda, myth, hyperbole, understatements, and half truths. So if you read about a bog standard marine, even a named one lifting a tank without elaboration on how it's likely the rememberancer is just being a hype man.

The three novels that came out not too long ago, "Cadia Stands" ect, go a far way in making the story of the Stormtroopers pretty badass. It's starts towards the ends where Abbadon dropped the fortress on everyone. Dick move bro.

How about “The Warp EXPLAINED By An Australian?” I know a lot about Warhammer 40K (mostly thanks to you), but I tried to explain what The Warp was to someone who doesn’t know anything about Warhammer 40K, and I couldn’t. I feel like I understand it, but can’t really explain it.

Majorkill, is there any lore about the affects of inheriting gene-seed? For example if someone was to inherit some gene-seed from a powerful psycher, would they be more likely to be a powerful psycher too?

Krieg by Steve Lyons & the Cadian series Justin D Hill are great. The Cadian series explores them ALOT more though ;D
First one is about the fall of cadia AND CLEARLY SHOWS THAT THE PLANET DID IN FACT BREAK, BEFORE THE GUARD.
In that book it says when the planet was literally in pieces, you could still see flashes coming from the fragments... Showing continued resistance to the invaders.

Well Cadia was the closet planet to the Eye of Terror so to stop potential Crusades out of the Eye of Terror Cadia was remoddeled into a Fortress Planet. And Yes Terra is the most Planet with the most defensives after Cadia . Terra also has its own Guardsman Rigemnt Called The Luficer Blacks Bassicly the Guardsman version of the Custodes who have better gear the all other Guardsman better Trainig than all other Guardsman . On Terra there are also Several Space Marine Chapters , Custodies, Sisters of Silences and the Officio Assinorum

To be fair though, the Imperial Guard catches a lot of flack considering they are the primary response force the Imperium has to combat an invasion. Sure, the PDF is there initially, but who gets sent in the vast majority of the time to respond to invasions the PDF can't handle? It isn't the Space Marines, the Inquisition, the Sisters of Battle, or the Mechanicus, it is the Imperial Guard.
They are the workhorse of the Imperium military, it is just sad how disposable they are to their fellow factions.

Know what you're trying to resist makes you more resistant to Chaos? Seems like something the Imperium would want all of its citizens to be able to do... I'm still new to 40k, so maybe there's something I don't know about as to why they don't do that all over.
Can you imagine all the daemons and chaos marines who’ve died to a Cadian troop on the can? Like the soldiers here’s an alarm while reading a newspaper. Then part of the wall opens up and a machine lasgun pops up in-front of them and they drop the paper then just start shooting.
