Hi dan - thanks for this video; I have this model - it's a beauty, and plays so nicely. I love the KwikPlug pickup system; I upgraded the stock pickups (which were actually fine) with some more powerful humbuckers from GuitarFetish, and it now sounds great. Love the black walnut fingerboard; it has a bit of a shine to it, unusual for most non-maple fingerboards. I paid $279 for it new from their website, which was a sale price. Guitar Fetish is in Sarasota, FL, so I hope they'll be OK after hurricanes Helene and Milton are done going through. My first REAL guitar was one I bought in 1973, a Gibson L6-S. It cost $350 at the time (including a beautiful hardshell case). Bought it in person on W. 48th St in NYC. Played many gigs throughout the ensuing years with it, mostly in NYC area. I still have it today, more than half a century later, and it still sounds and plays great!

@@olddogguitars23 Hi Dan , Yes they wanted to opp on my hand 15 y ago , but as I said I cured my finger in 4 days !. with organic apple cider vinegar ..... DM
My first guitar was an Epiphone acoustic that a guy left at my house and never came back to get it. It had a bolt on neck and a zero fret. I ended up giving it to someone, but I can't remember who.
I think giving away your first guitar is probably much better than selling your first guitar. I would have much less regret thinking I’d did someone a good deed.

Thanks Dave. That definitely sounds like it might be worth a try. I’m doing what I can to avoid surgery.
