Japanese supercar is a winner.
Everyone has their favorite color for a vehicle and while your green is beautiful there's is simply no better color for that car than black. However, what you accomplished with the exhaust was simply brilliant. Period. That "old-time" F1 sound you duplicated can not be beaten. just wish I could experience that in person. Impossible, I know.
You dont take a buisness model with you, this car makes you happy and never put a price on happiness paul. Drive it where ever you like. Its yours, your dream and for most dreams dont come true, so live it. Keep it and use it.
Really appreciate your honesty. I get what Paul is saying. He'll get 50k out of the car when he sells it and 50k is how much of his own money he put in. So he breaks even. In the mean time, he has a V12 Lambo. It's not an "investment" but it is a way to enjoy an incredible car without losing much money at all. Compare this to buy ANY new car and it's an overall win. This logic is the same reason I like 997's
I do like your videos mainly because titles are not click bait...like when you are out or away you dont make out you will be buying the car you are in/reviewing
The fact is, each time you drive it, its an event! The expression on the faces of you and your passenger each time you accelerate with vigour is timeless. Dont worry, you just need to plan ahead to 'obtain' another ride for your road trips. Think of it this way; at least the Murcielago is safe from the Monaco car pound.
The fact that you can't drive it is why I love 997 Porsches. You can put miles on those and still sell them easily and the miles don't impact the value of the 997 very much. The 997 still feels special, especially on a road trip, although nothing like a Lambo. But you have a fairly exotic car that you can daily for little money. I'm sure there are other cars like that but the 997 is my fav in the category.
I've watched countless videos of cars, loud cars, while wearing headphones, and you're car's sound forced my cellphone to lower the volume and notify me lower the volume, or otherwise I'll damage my hearing, I'm not even joking this actually happened
SOL please take a page out of STG and Shmee’s book, road trips = quality content. Quality content = $. Most importantly you’ll truly enjoy and appreciate what you own.
Paul me old mate, your maths needs some reconsideration. To bring your car up to the theoretical £200k mark you will need to A/ need a full repaint, B/ replace the clutch for the new buyers convenience and a dealer will charge you £15k to sell the car and take the responsibility of you getting you your money. That totals £30k conservatively. Then you have a car ( that aside from needing an MOT) you can't drive and while you are waiting for it to be sold still costs you £3k a month in finance/insurance etc. You can spin any yarn you want about free motoring but until it's sold there is no materialisation of asset value. Can't wait to see how few miles you have done once that not database is updated.
I have to be honest here and agree with the majority of what's being said , I owned a Series 1 Murci 55 plate manual 6.2 v12 for two and a half years it cost me £18000 in service items and tyres and general wear and tear but it was utterly sensational. Would I advise anyone to pull the trigger on 200k yes absolutely , as long as you have at least 10% of the value of the car in free available cash sat in the bank when it goes wrong , which I can guarantee 100% that it will. The more you drive it the more it likes it . Regarding value I bought it from a Lambo main dealer for 117500 put 22000 miles on it as my daily driver and sold it for £116,000. which is pretty good to be fair. Regarding the market place . . I'd say egear Murcis have probably peaked , manual cars will probably continue to rise a bit , the days of making £10k a year asset gain are probably over as this was between 2015 and 2018 .... 2020 ? could be a bit of market instability ahead ........ if you want to lose money hand over fist then buy a Huracan or Aventador as these cars I think have already started to fall off a cliff edge .
A totally different comment than most the negative ones that I just read : Can you make a video comparing the different exhausts you’ve had on the car? We all love hearing this V12, so listening to it over and over comparing it would be awesome!!
if all things were equal on sale after 12 mths... you would get back 50k less 12 mths interest, insurance + fuel + misc... basically everything that tops the cost to 50K from just shy of 40K + interest. Also the car IMO would need to revert to its original colour (remove wrap + re-spray), that would be an additional cost. If the value however increased, you would make money as long as the value nets out the aforementioned costs.
From a selfish pov,i think you should get rid,and breathe some new life into this channel with a new car. The Murci has been done so many times, and if im honest it’s been done far better from RUclipsrs across the pond.
There is something weird in your financial calculation... £50,000 deposit ( + monthly instalments ? interest only i suppose ) + £ 150,000 left to pay. If you sell it at £ 200,000 like you "bought it" means that the car appreciated in value during the 12 months at the level of all the expenses you made on it + the normal devaluation due to increase milage and so on. This only makes sense if your car's value increase until the bubble burst. When it burst, if you are left holding the car, you'll loose big... You can't "own it for free" when you bought it on credit (financing plan if you prefere) otherwise the financing company would not make any profit... Also, if you own it "for free" and everybody does the same "because it is free/no charges" then everybody would have a super car and the market will be flooded making the bubble burst and the prices drop. I'm not a hater, love your channel and i'm very happy for you. I'm just not believing in "owning a super car for free"....
Getting your dream car means you keep it not sale it after 5 minutes of having it or what was the point of getting it. It is there to be driven not make money on. Look at DDE has the same car he has done road trips in his and he has still been offered good money for his Merci.
*BORN FROM THE MOUNTAINS OF MARANELLO , FROM THE FIRES OF FERANO, RAISED FROM THE SAND OF SICILY, LIKE A PHOENIX SCREAMING FROM HELL* *the best sounding car ever, KING*
? Surely it is , purchase price - deposit + running costs = sale price needed to break even ......... in your case 200-20+30=210 ...... if you sell at 200 you lose 10k
My thinking as well. In those 30k are there any downpayment on the 200 purchase price? That could lower the cost, but the interest is still a cost to add. My normal calculations would be if purchase and sell is the same, all other expenses will be the cost of the ownership. Everything above purchase price when sold is to cover the expenses. Even if you sell for purchase price you will have paid interests for the loan, which is lost money unless you sell it for more the purchase. I dont understand how this can add up to zero when sell and purchase price is the same. What am I missing? @supercarsoflondon
Why would a road trip in that cost £10000. You said depreciation isn't an issue anymore, so miles won't do anything, your adding them anyway. Just enjoy it.
Additionally, if you can't afford the upkeep and maintenance AND you can't afford to even drive it because of fear of depreciation..it sounds like you simply can't afford to own this car. I'm surprised because you have 700k subscribers. You should be earning decent cash to at least maintain the car (at least a repaint).
@@thefightingplumber probably pays for the monthly payments. Surprised with his sub numbers it can't pay for more. In all honesty I don't think he needed to go get a car he can't fully afford. It's about the content rather than the actual car.

James "stradman" can buy merci but he's not buying it at the time because he knows he's not at right moment. Because he wants to grow himself & his channel. He'll buy the merci in future when he find out the right moment.
my Mitsubishi GTO originally cost me £6,000 and i have had it for 16 years, i had a great drive from Littlehampton to Salisbury for lunch and then back on the back road over the downs was really enjoyable.....it is a V6 three liter engine with four wheel drive and four wheel steer. it is a great drive over the twisty roads......it is a last generation supercar and it has gone up in value since when i bought it on account of it's rarity and it is still cheap to maintain. Japanese supercar is a winner.
White paint is still my fav. I know it’s not great, needs a respray, but my god it looks good from a distance
Losing 10 000 pounds?!
Your not ready to risk it!?
So you bought a lp 640 to do some tunnel runs .... 😂
You will never care about the £10k in 20 years time... you would always remember the road trip.
Such a great reaction when driving your dream after 12 months! I hope you all success with the Merch. Loving your channel
Great video Paul. Very honest and with a wonderful V12 soundtrack
The outside cam view is awesome, gives a real sense of what's its like! ( for those who can't afford it) :)
SOL please take a page out of STG and Shmee’s book, road trips = quality content. Quality content = $. Most importantly you’ll truly enjoy and appreciate what you own.
love the honesty and openness you share with your audience. SOL soul of London ✌
I do like the interior of that Lambo Paul, and the sound!
you clearly cant afford this car
Dude there's one location where you should take it and it starts on with a N😉
No road trips that’s what these things are made for , that’s the problem with big finance agreements you can have the car just don’t use it
Congrats paul. If you can run a v12 lamborghini and remain financially stable youre doing something right!
A totally different comment than most the negative ones that I just read : Can you make a video comparing the different exhausts you’ve had on the car? We all love hearing this V12, so listening to it over and over comparing it would be awesome!!
Mate this car is second to none. I doubt I'd sell that but I'd certainly drive it like hell.
That car is a barrel of memories
That tunnel reaction is soo accurate, im crying aswell!!!
if all things were equal on sale after 12 mths... you would get back 50k less 12 mths interest, insurance + fuel + misc... basically everything that tops the cost to 50K from just shy of 40K + interest.
This year is a second to remember that this month is a decade to remember
Ignore some of the people you make videos with Paul, this car is just incredible.
and that first tunnel sprint was unreal 👏👏
Everything you've got, but not too much! Perfectly applied
Getting your dream car means you keep it not sale it after 5 minutes of having it or what was the point of getting it. It is there to be driven not make money on. Look at DDE has the same car he has done road trips in his and he has still been offered good money for his Merci.
Mondi (yes he has money) is putting his through its paces properlly as well.
*BORN FROM THE MOUNTAINS OF MARANELLO , FROM THE FIRES OF FERANO, RAISED FROM THE SAND OF SICILY, LIKE A PHOENIX SCREAMING FROM HELL*
*the best sounding car ever, KING*
........ ends up under a dust sheet in a carpark in the home counties!
I think you should bring back the white, its absolutely stunning in that colour - but nonetheless congrats on the year!!
This was an awesome video! Love the murci cant wait for more content with it
Not sure the wisdom of spending money wrapping before fixing the paint first.
I'm guessing making video's of it pays for the cost.
@@thefightingplumber probably pays for the monthly payments. Surprised with his sub numbers it can't pay for more. In all honesty I don't think he needed to go get a car he can't fully afford. It's about the content rather than the actual car.
@@jl7676 Could be he is just stingy. Or has better use for the money ie: investments.
But i agree, you probably shouldn't buy the car if you have to worry about it's depreciation. Don't buy a car unless you can easily afford to own it forever. Even if you plan on selling it. If you can't, get a different car half the price and invest to rest of the money in property.
by far the only murci on youtube that i actually still like from all the youtube bullshit thats happening on youtube (yes more than dde and mondi's murci. )
great now can we get some different content please
Hope so
She's a beaut, man I love that sound of that V12.
It has been a great 12 months of ownership.
The fact that you cannot see this car past it being a business model and a loss in that regard and for that reason keeping yourself from doing grand tours, makes you unworthy of it.
Such a car is supposed to be a big bite financially. If you cannot live with that. You should forfeit and never have have started owning it.
Back when lamborghini sounded great , this is the best lamborghini
Congrats on your first anniversary with the Murci and Hopefully many more to come 😎 ... 4:55 we are exactly in the same boat you were back in 2017 , An Automotive Channel without a Supercar 😅 But we are working on changing that Very Soon, hopefully by the time you visit Bahrain Next , God Knows what car we might end up in 😆
And Yes Seeing you enjoying what you are doing and getting the rewards of it, is really inspiring 👌
13:18 its actually sad for us that you cant road trip the car or ship it , because we would love to see the car in person the next time you visit BAHRAIN 😍😍
You will not be Called Mr.Lamborghini if you are not enjoying the Murcielago like you are now 👍😎
I would actually say that you have probably los some money on it.
Because the paint is terrible, and there is no way you get the same amount for it now then what you paid for it.
And to get it painted in a original Lamborghini colour by a good paintshop will be expensive.
So i you probably has lost some money because of that.
Still, -10, 30k for a murc, is a good deal.
@@Erowens98 Yes it is.
And i didn't say it wasn't a good deal.
I only said that he has probably lost some money on it.
It's a wrap, not hard to take off
@@notleyful And if you've seen some of the earlier videos where he shows us how bad the condition of the paint is then you know what i am talking about.
Big parts og the paint has fallen off the car.
@@denisspratt926 yeah, painting supercars is expensive af and this definitely needs it.
Well. I am glad if all this makes you happy. Me personally, I would be in tears by now. From what you discussed.
You could buy and sell a car every month...plenty of good deals on 500hp plus cars now ...smash plenty road trips.. 11.56
What a fooking sound... worth every penny !!
Unsellable until you get the paintwork sorted. When are you putting it back to stock / factory spec?
Paul, be good to put a medley together of everyones face/reaction from when you're spanking it under the tunnel. Everyones face has looked similarly shocked
Damn, its looks great in the white from the dealership
Keitumetse Mabuza smoke and mirrors. They were dishonest and sold him a piece of junk
Madness
Sounds like someone is planning on selling his forever car...
Now that you achieve your dream car, what is your next plan with the car or you have a second option? Q&A ??
On video this car sounds as if the devil himself is screaming. I can't begin to fathom what it sounds like in person.
