Hello mam , do they really give us an option to select what type of module we want or will they just randomly give the modules? I am asking this because one of my friend who got onboarded in 2021 said that he didnt get the choice to select.

Salesforce is not about no code. Today majority of projects includes LWC customization (means Front End).
Salesforce is not about infra. Devs will be working on the tool, customizing it using code for biz requirements.

Salesforce also have coding like Apex and lwc
it depends to if you are Salesforce Developer then surely there will coding in it, but if just a Salesforce Admin then there isn't
