I think everyone should try to really listen to Stephen and contemplate about the message he is trying to convey through his music. He has a powerful way with words and I feel it's extremely admirable that he chooses to sing about important issues that need addressing in the world. Please show him your support
+MrSuicideSheep I really missed him during his 3 year stretch of nothing after Bullet Train. I'm so happy he's releasing regularly now, and you're right. He has such a talent for this, and he's just getting better. I can't wait to see what the future holds!
Lyrics :D I’m callin’ this the love crusade, The truth is like a black bouquet, Money’s got us all enslaved, The bullets and the bombs we make, Oh no, It doesn’t have to be this way, But I promise it’ll stay this way, If you would rather hear me say, That everything is all ok, I don’t care for your drugs, I don’t care for your fame, Do you care for the truth if you’re not entertained? I can see through your eyes, I can see through your pain, And you’re scared to admit you feel out of place, Can you hear that darlin’, A revolution’s callin’, No child of ours should have to starve, Should have to die for us, Can you feel that darlin’, The monsters marchin, This is it, this invitation is, For the ones who love, Sincerely, I’m tellin’ you the world looks perfect from a plane, A couple miles up and we all look the same, One love tryna show us the way, One love that is tryin’ to change, And if we connect with that, then we should be enraged, These fat cats want us lost in the maze, And they’re scared ‘cause we’re breakin’ the chain, They’re scared ‘cause we’re ‘bout to escape, Can you hear that darlin’, A revolution’s callin’, No child of ours should have to starve, Should have to die for us, Can you feel that darlin’, The monsters marchin, This is it, this invitation is, For the ones who love, Sincerely, There’s a billion people, That could use a hero, Come together, we’re the tether, Of this love that’s spinnin’ round, We could be that miracle, Can you hear that darlin’, A revolution’s callin’, No child of ours should have to starve, Should have to die for us, Can you feel that darlin’, The monsters marchin, This is it, this invitation is, For the ones who love,
+MrSuicideSheep I think thats the main reason i love them both SOO much. Artists like EDEN, Stephen, Crywolf and James Young all have that special `voice`
Gustard, you are sooooo right. It's not even beautiful. It's way more than just beautiful. It's different, powerful, and addictive. They all have That voice.
Stephen had become one of my favorite artists thanks to this channel. Honestly would not have heard of him if you didn't exist. Thanks. Maximum effort.
Jokūbas Stankaitis What do you define as weakness, the ability to recognise and admit there are problems, the ability to no longer want to run away from facing the truth, much like society does, through it’s hysterical and mediocre attempts to forget that suffering exists?Cause society often does that and instead fights amongst itself over trivial matters, over material gain,in the end those individuals whose ambitions lead to others sufferings might never be able to realise their life shall end like others’ and they can’t redeem.
I feel like this adds a whole new dimension to this song (from stephen's fb): My generation has been mislead. We were told to fit in, pass our classes, go to college and prematurely select careers that we don’t love so we can work the rest of our lives to pay back the debt. Our curriculums smothered our creativity and evaluated our worth through standardized testing and our willingness to accept indentured servitude. We were promised independence, but all that our efforts have earned us is the illusion of freedom. And we live in the illusion of democracy. In exchange for the continued support of a financial system that is structured to benefit the rich and entrap the average working adult, the majority of today’s presidential candidates rely heavily on large donations from billion dollar corporations. These elected politicians are not fulfilling their promises for equality, sustainability and progress; they are confined by the selfish agendas of the ultra-elite that they are indebted to - many of whom profit off of war, disease, fear and resources that destroy our environment. I’m only twenty-four years old. I’m no expert in politics, but I know that this isn’t right. Music was the crane that pulled me out of the machine, and now that I can see what’s happening, I want to pull you out too. “Sincerely” is my invitation to the ones who are ready for change, both within themselves and within their country.
"I'm telling you the world looks perfect from a plane. A couple miles up and we all look the same." This line really made me think. He points out that if you look at things from a different perspective, we're all just people. We aren't better than anyone else. We all have our own lives, and we all have bias against different kinds of people, but if we all look at it from the top, we really aren't any better or worse than anybody.
Since I heard Stephen I knew that his music would aways be amazing but this song just blew my mind away. I understand the lyrics so well since for the past two years I have been discovering the truth behind all the lies that have blinded me and many. I had tears in my eyes when I heard this and I just love it so much and wish that I, we, can make a difference in this world that is slowly crumbling.
I'm callin' this the love crusade The truth is like a black bouquet Money's got us all enslaved The bullets and the bombs we make, Oh no It doesn't have to be this way But I promise it'll stay this way If you would rather hear me say That everything is all ok I don't care for your drugs, I don't care for your fame Do you care for the truth if you're not entertained? Stephen is seriously talented. I have nothing but respect for him. And as Sheepy said, the fact that he addresses the important issues in his songs only strenghtens that respect.
He stood in the crumbling debris of the city. The crown of fire burning bright around his head. His eyes, watery with tears, were open and staring out into the vast landscape of space. What would happen if he were to look away from what he seemed to be always staring at? If he were to suddenly move from the place he always stood? Would the world change? Would it stay the same? The screams were loud yet, distant. They were right in his head, but seemed so far away. He wondered why he always heard these screams, but he could never truly figure why they were always so close yet far. Unknowingly to him, they were for this reason so far and so close, because they were his screams.
Her feet thumped on the wet pavement, sirens screaming her name in the distance. She pushed past the buildings which were so closely packed together. Her legs carried her further than they had ever done before. The adrenaline coursed through her body. The sirens seemed to be getting closer, they were right behind her. This was it, she dropped to the ground and accepted her fate. She muttered a word of rebellion as a gunshot echoed through the street, hoping her message will be spread.
When that bullet hit the body of a person of free spirit, the population roared. People inspired to do what was right for what they believe is most important to them and that was freedom. For too long the government has kept the people dormant because of the ruthless punishments for speaking freely and now everything was going to change from that one bullet intended to spread fear but no, it just spread her message of a rebellion forming faster than the government can act upon.
The sound of gunshots like an eternal background noise, filling his ears as he takes his last stand, amidst the blazing flames, defending his life and his loved one's lives with everything that he has, but slowly, the unrelenting onslaught forces him to his knees, the soft rain falling on his face, when he realizes that those are his own tears.
Wow, Stephen. Keep up the good work. This is honestly the best song I have heard in so, so long. These lyrics resonate through my bones and send chills down my spine. This is next level stuff, people. Remember the name, one day this song will be chanted through the streets.
Wow, man. These lyrics are so powerful...it does make you hold on and reflect. Very strong and very true words. On another note, early congrats for 4 million sheepy! That's a lot and you deserve it, keep doing what you're doing!
+Affinity FM | Music Network Question : if i don't monetize a video where there is this whole song, and with a link in the description, do i risk a strike or something ?
gabrielangex you are correct, some labels do not like it when their music is featured somewhere that is not the official artist's account. I should also mention that even if you use a short clip of a song, the label can still slam you for copyright infringement. This is probably the most common misconception in the RUclips universe
I find it hard to believe that I started listening to this song maybe when it was 3 years old and I haven’t stopped, to me this is a measure of its quality
Damn you have a good taste in music. This is awesome. I wish i had a voice like that, AND THE DROP. Best song i have heard in along time. Just a quick question if you don't mind. How come OMFG - hello was reuploaded?
+Ozymandias Unlikely that it was resolved, more that Sheepy won in court. Sheepy gets written permission from each and every artist before he uploads their song. Whoever imposed the strike had no real right too, because OMFG had signed over the right for Sheepy to upload.
Holy shit, he's back This might be Stephen's best song to date. It's not just in the sound (which is amazing by the way, it's such a great mix of the styles of Remembering Myself and Fly Down, and Stephen's low-octave singing has some serious EDEN vibe to it) but the lyrical message is where money's at. I thought Crossfire was a one-off response to the Paris attacks and rising violence around the globe with ISIS, etc. but this one's an even more far-reaching "call to arms" going beyond just street violence and handling the themes of poverty, inequality, world hunger and corporations, and it does it without sounding cliche. I think that Stephen is one of the most important artists in this generation of electronic music, because his sound is so influential with the blend of rock and future bass, his lyrics are mature, smartly written, and a shining example of the levels of sophistication EDM songwriting can reach, and he takes on some very contemporary issues and shines a potent spotlight on their consequences. He opens listeners' eyes and ears to the raw and uncompromising purity of the matters at hand and they become more than just "statistics". They make me want to take whatever action I can to help, big or small. Thank you for releasing this, Stephen, and thanks to Sheepy and Proximity for uploading it because now it'll receive the popularity it so undeniably deserves.
How could people dislike Stephen's songs? They are so powerful and hold much truth about what is going on in this world. I say sham you for disliking this. Shame. On. You.
Congrats on 4 Million subscribers!! I just want to say thank you for this outstanding music we get to hear every day to make our days a bit better🙌 Keep up the good work sheepy
I remember my friend introducing me to Stephen. He showed me fly down, and Crossfire, and I immediately fell in love. We spent hours just talking about him and his music, and how his lyrics mean so much. Those were actually our last moments.. A week after, he killed himself.. I don't know why, but I will forever take Stephen's music to heart, all because of my long lost friend. Rest in peace Raphael, I wish I could show you this song.. 😔
*A long time ago I heard this song, but my phone broke and I forgot the name of the song, now I found it by chance and it's as good as I remembered to be*
Sincerely, for me Stephen is of the few creative and great electronic artists of these times that gets so many support of the people and labels fortunately, amazing for him
This really strikes a chord with me in just about every way! Musically, and lyrically. It's really a fantastic song in just about every capacity. 10/10 would Stephen again.
Wasn't expecting that guitar solo towards the end... Blew me away... Great upload as always +MrSuicideSheep and great song from Stephen, really loving his music.
Meanderthal17 this pilot was insane. i was infact unaware of anything about the show and just watched because i was utterly bored. was probably the best decision I've taken.
I think everyone should try to really listen to Stephen and contemplate about the message he is trying to convey through his music. He has a powerful way with words and I feel it's extremely admirable that he chooses to sing about important issues that need addressing in the world. Please show him your support
+MrSuicideSheep This is an awesome song indeed! By the way, are you in contact with Proximity? They uploaded this track at exactly the same time :p
You and Stephen keep up the good work, This track is amazing!
+MrSuicideSheep I really missed him during his 3 year stretch of nothing after Bullet Train. I'm so happy he's releasing regularly now, and you're right. He has such a talent for this, and he's just getting better. I can't wait to see what the future holds!

Lyrics :D
I’m callin’ this the love crusade,
The truth is like a black bouquet,
Money’s got us all enslaved,
The bullets and the bombs we make, Oh no,
It doesn’t have to be this way,
But I promise it’ll stay this way,
If you would rather hear me say,
That everything is all ok,
I don’t care for your drugs, I don’t care for your fame,
Do you care for the truth if you’re not entertained?
I can see through your eyes, I can see through your pain,
And you’re scared to admit you feel out of place,
Can you hear that darlin’,
A revolution’s callin’,
No child of ours should have to starve,
Should have to die for us,
Can you feel that darlin’,
The monsters marchin,
This is it, this invitation is,
For the ones who love,
Sincerely,
I’m tellin’ you the world looks perfect from a plane,
A couple miles up and we all look the same,
One love tryna show us the way,
One love that is tryin’ to change,
And if we connect with that, then we should be enraged,
These fat cats want us lost in the maze,
And they’re scared ‘cause we’re breakin’ the chain,
They’re scared ‘cause we’re ‘bout to escape,
Can you hear that darlin’,
A revolution’s callin’,
No child of ours should have to starve,
Should have to die for us,
Can you feel that darlin’,
The monsters marchin,
This is it, this invitation is,
For the ones who love,
Sincerely,
There’s a billion people,
That could use a hero,
Come together, we’re the tether,
Of this love that’s spinnin’ round,
We could be that miracle,
Can you hear that darlin’,
A revolution’s callin’,
No child of ours should have to starve,
Should have to die for us,
Can you feel that darlin’,
The monsters marchin,
This is it, this invitation is,
For the ones who love,
+MrSuicideSheep Ty!
+MrSuicideSheep The lyrics for this song are intense.
+MrSuicideSheep holy sheep, it gave me the chills srsly those words amazing :D
+Grizzly Heals He's an amazing lyricist
Thank you.
I had been hearing "can you hear that toilet" and was really confused...
Those voices.
They're screaming.
They're preaching.
They're trying to tell me something.
Sends chills down my spine everytime.
Sounds like you got a demon problem mate.
Yeah I do get some hallucinational visits from the devil himself from time to time at night.
Tell him i said hi
He will know who said hi .
Expander sleep paralysis
Who else loses it when he says "Sincerely"? This is another great song by Stephen, I love it!
i lose it when he says darlin'
I lose it from 0:00 to 4:47
Sincerly. fjaisjofasoij
Beulah O me
Me too!
We need EDEN x Stephen to make a song asap
+KillerWhale I can see that being really awesome. Not sure if I would be able to easily distinguish their voices though :P
They could sing my life
YES
Stephen's lyrics always make me think
Stephen had become one of my favorite artists thanks to this channel. Honestly would not have heard of him if you didn't exist. Thanks. Maximum effort.
+VapidFOX So happy to have introduced you to such a phenomenal artist! :)
Stephen's lyrics paint a picture of society for what it really is: cruel, loveless, and corrupt.
alongside insanely good production + vocals
Spotted a weak human here

EDEN and Stephen make a song together?
That would be perfection
that would work
If they had sex then outcomes a great song
I think they are working on something, they are active with one another on twitter so it might be happening O_o
They already have but it's really old and not a lot of singing.
Stephen is love, Stephen is life!

+Bernie 2016 I already read this but thank you for sharing it with everyone on the channel :)
Wow, this is just stunning! Thank you 'sincerely' for sharing this mesmerising piece of written majesty.
what you wrote is the bitter truth which many of us don't want to accept!
+MrSuicideSheep
just amazing.
this is still giving me so emotional feels
the lyrics
the harmony his voice and the sounds convey
it's incredible..
These lyrics man, they're the best. I hope the message spreads like crazy

@Heroic Herbivore I'll keep eating meat, thanks.
This song... fits current times
I was just thinking that !
no cap
It really does
True
It fits everywhere and all the time because it's vague.

+Ella Perez Unless you mean in terms of global warming, the world is not crumbling.
+iffy 220 again I think he means society
Well you could view that all of the universe is currently crumbling, that's called entropy :)
Every time he says “sincerely” before the drop I can’t help but smile 😊

Agree !
+CoolHandLuke I'd trade my luck to know, why you're caught in the crossfire. And I'm here waking up to the sun and the sound of birds.... :D
Facts 👌
Stephen is seriously talented. I have nothing but respect for him.
And as Sheepy said, the fact that he addresses the important issues in his songs only strenghtens that respect.
+Mistify I definitely agree
This guy is so underrated he needs to be popular as much as possible because I have listened some of his songs and all of them are amazing
He stood in the crumbling debris of the city. The crown of fire burning bright around his head. His eyes, watery with tears, were open and staring out into the vast landscape of space. Got that inspiration flowing, eh?

Man he always produces an amazing song. Love to hear him collab with Eden
+RANDUMB365 his style really does remind me of EDEN, that collab would be pretty interesting if they did come together
ah, that's actually quite true. i forgot it's what makes the uniqueness of a collab stand out.
Now imagine Stephen x Fijiwiji or EDEN x Deon Custom
Wow, Stephen. Keep up the good work. This is honestly the best song I have heard in so, so long. These lyrics resonate through my bones and send chills down my spine. This is next level stuff, people. Remember the name, one day this song will be chanted through the streets.
My favorite thing about Stephen is the anticipation for the extremely sick parts in the song, especially (in my opinion) in Fly Down. Insane talent.
Wow, man. These lyrics are so powerful...it does make you hold on and reflect. Very strong and very true words.
On another note, early congrats for 4 million sheepy! That's a lot and you deserve it, keep doing what you're doing!

Still here? All the best people, i hope you are all ok.

+MrSuicideSheep So you successfully managed to work out the problem with OMFG? :D
+MrSuicideSheep Would love an update post to hear about how it was resolved.
+Ozymandias Unlikely that it was resolved, more that Sheepy won in court. Sheepy gets written permission from each and every artist before he uploads their song. Whoever imposed the strike had no real right too, because OMFG had signed over the right for Sheepy to upload.
Holy shit, he's back
This might be Stephen's best song to date.
Well said man, it's been 5 years but I haven't seen anyone else go this in-depth analyzing Stephen, or even EDM as a whole.
This is amazing! Beautiful lyrics, great music, real artistry!
How could people dislike Stephen's songs? They are so powerful and hold much truth about what is going on in this world. I say sham you for disliking this. Shame. On. You.
Why these pics are always so wonderful and breathtaking?

Congrats on 4 Million subscribers!!
I just want to say thank you for this outstanding music we get to hear every day to make our days a bit better🙌
Keep up the good work sheepy
I remember my friend introducing me to Stephen. He showed me fly down, and Crossfire, and I immediately fell in love. We spent hours just talking about him and his music, and how his lyrics mean so much. Those were actually our last moments.. A week after, he killed himself.. I don't know why, but I will forever take Stephen's music to heart, all because of my long lost friend. Rest in peace Raphael, I wish I could show you this song.. 😔
Sorry for your loss
