Unfortunately for Clark she went into a dump of a franchise that hasn't been in the playoffs 8 years and was the worst team in the league 2 years running. Bad coaching bad management mediocre players equals you suck. If CC3 can drag this mediocre franchise upwards it will be a miracle especially if they want to take her greatness away from her.

This is a horrible false equivalency. If you really knew anything about the WNBA, you'd know that white women have been dominant in the sport from its inception. Even in recent memory, some of the best players have been white.
Sue Bird, Lauren Jackson, Lindsey Whalen, Ellena Delle-Donne, Penny Taylor, Courtney Vandersloot, Katie Douglas, Katie Smith. But until now, race was not an issue in the WNBA. So, trying to compare black ppl supporting Woods, the lone black golfer playing for PGA titles, to CC, one of MANY white women in the league is just absurd.

From what I've seen in 2 pre season games the Fever should go get Gabby Marshall. She would be the 2nd best 3 point shooter on the team after CC. She play's better D than most of them. She also gets up and down the floor real fast so CC has someone to help her on the fast breaks for easy buckets. Some of the girls on the fever don't seem to be fast enough to keep up with CC. They also need to keep their head on a swivel because CC can't pass them the ball if they ain't ready. They were missing easy shots both games cause they weren't ready for the pass. The games will get a lot easier for them if their ready for the passes.
If it is a race thing, where are all the black fans? These are tiny arena's which can easily be filled with black women fans.
I agree the African-American community should be supporting angel reese at the same level folks are supporting Caitlin Clark but they aren't in reality.

I live In Maryland. I brought my ticket yesterday to see Caitlin Clark and her team play the Washington Mystics on June 7,2024. I paid $167 for nose bleeds at the Capital One Arena (the home of NBA Washington Wizards and NHL Washington Capitals) .
Yes, 2003 was about the last time anyone gave a care about WNBA and they all went gay on us.
Caitlin is just a likeable person. And she hasn't had to do much to be likeable. That just goes to show how unlikeable the rest of WNBA players are.

After two preseason games there is a trend. They are picking up CC full court. They are throwing two to three bodies at her. Hard screens and taking away drives with hard fouls. The defense is to deplete Caitlin's energy and to not allow her to score. Force her to pass the ball. They want to be able to say, CC is just an average white girl. Caitlin needs to get her teammates scoring and force the defense to play straight up. I think stopping CC from scoring is more important to the other teams than winning the game.
Her teammates have to be ready for her out of nowhere passes, this will open up the defense... especially if Clark starts averaging 20+ assists per game. That's creating points, and that's how you win.
I have never purchased Netflix, Disney+, etc. I'm just too cheap to buy TV.......but I bought a WNBA League Pass for the season!

I watched several games of the woman's NCAA finals this year, all of Iowa and some others. I have watched a few WNBA games. Honestly, I think the girls in the NCAA play better hoops than they do in WNBA. If Clarks coach in Indiana tries to change her play style, it's curtains for the WNBA. The Fever needs to play Clarks game. It's more fun to watch.

What is not mentioned is the Connecticut Sun play 50 minutes away from UCONN campus and there are currently 14 former UCONN players in the WNBA. None of them can sellout the arena near UCONN campus including Diana Taurasi and Breanna Stewart.
